PART ONE

I felt led to share with you, a revealing of this teaching that Father showed me. Be blessed in it.

If we study this out, we find that Paul’s reason for this letter was to correct the teaching, to the Thessalonicians, regarding “the return, any minute, of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

You will find that, in this day that Paul was in, there were people who would steal Paul’s and others’ writings and forge their names to them, and/or change the words of Paul’s or whoever’s letters, that they stole.. (Judean Encyp. and Church History).   And someone had taken Paul’s teaching and changed it to say, to the Thessalonicians, that Jesus could return any day. So Paul is trying to explain why that teaching isn’t correct.

2 Thess. 2:1 “Now, we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together unto Him,”

The word “coming’ in Strong’s Con. is #3952, means, a being near, a presence.  It comes from the # 4483 Greek:  pouring forth.  In Thayer’s #3952 means: the PRESENCE of one arriving. It’s the Greek word “parousia”.

VS 1, “.and by our gathering together unto him”,

The word “gathering”, is only used 2 places in the Written Word, where it’s meaning is: Strong’s: #1997 It is used here in 2Thess and in Heb 10:25.    The Greek word is “synogooga” , “naaz”, or temple ,  which means,  the inner sanctuary, from which we get our English word synagogue. Everywhere, in the Word, the word “gathering” means, literal people, gathering together. But, here and in Heb 10, it means, you as an individual , in the 3 dimensions of our being, spirit, soul and body, gathering all 3 dimensions of ourselves , unto Him.

VS 2, “we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit”

This explains the gathering of the 3 dimensions of us. Don’t be troubled in our mind (soul), and our spirit, of course, the body was already there listening to Paul.

VS 2, “or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come”

Paul is saying this, because of the letters of his that were being forged and/or changed. Paul was about to explain why the day of Christ couldn’t come yet.

VS 3 and 4, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

In the original writing, 3 and 4 are one statement, as this is a letter, not a book that was in the Bible. In just a minute we are going to make this easier to understand by posing verse 4 as a question, instead of a statement. But first, look at;

VS 3,  “Let no man deceive you by any means; for That day (the Day of Christ, the Day of the Lord, the Coming of the Lord, these are all the same day, this is the day Paul is speaking of in verse 2) shall not come EXCEPT (until) there come a falling away FIRST”

“a falling away” = here the word “a” is , in the original writing, the article “the”.  Falling away= Greek #646, apostaizia.  Where we get our English word “apostasy”. Apostasy, is a standing apart, to forsake or leave our first love after being enlightened and having tasted the goodness of Father. So, there has to be a falling away, an apostasy has to take place BEFORE the Day of the Lord, or the Day of Christ.

VS 3-4,  “and that man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he as God, sitteth in the temple of, shewing himself that he is God.”

Another thing has to happen, before the Day of the Lord. “That man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

VS 4 Now, let’s read vs. 4 as a question: “who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God?”

Whenever you see “eth” on a word, in King James, it means “ing”. Which means, a continuing, an ongoing thing, now, present time.

Who is it, that is exalting or image-ing, or imagining himself above all that is called God?  And his ego worships himself, to the point that he sees himself as God, in his “temple”?  He actually thinks, that he is all knowing, everything, that God is?    Who is this?  This showoff?

VS 5, “Remember ye not, that when I was with you, I told you these things?

Paul is saying, “Don’t you remember, I told you about this?”

VS 6, “And NOW you know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.”

Paul says, “You know! You know what is holding him back or the revealing of him, until his appointed time to be revealed.”

VS 7-8, “Rebellion is at its work already, but in secret, and the one who’s holding it back, has first to be removed, before the Rebel appears openly.  The Lord will kill him, with the breath of His mouth and annihilate him with His Glorious appearing, at His coming.”  Jerusalem Translation

Now, whoever this is, has been acting like he’s God, in the temple. Right?  OK, WHO IS THE TEMPLE?

WE ARE!!  Now we must keep in mind that the Bible is written to the Christian. So whoever this is, he’s in US!!

So, this “son of perdition” is in God’s temple.  Hmmmmm!  Ok, let’s go on.

VS 8, …the Lord will annihilate him with his glorious appearance at his coming.”

King James says…”at the brightness of his coming.”

Brightness speaks of light. Light speaks of understanding. And this understanding (brightness) will be with His coming. Do you remember what “coming” means?  It means, “Presence“.  So, understanding is coming with the appearance of His Presence.  Now, let’s go to 2 Thes. 1.

2 Thess 1:10, “When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, AND TO BE ADMIRED IN ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE.”

This is awesome, folks!!  This is simple and clear. He, His Life, His Anointing, is coming forth. And it will be in and through the sons that believe this. And we will get to, what happens to those who don’t believe this. It is happening TODAY!!  But, we’ll get to that a little further in this study.

So, Father is going to kill this person, with His Presence!!  Folks, if you haven’t figured this out, by now, this person, this son of perdition, is the carnal mind. Now the next couple of verses tell of things the carnal mind will do. And when you read them, don’t think religiously. Stop and think on each of the things that it will done.

The miracles, the lying wonders, we see THIS EVERYDAY on TV. And who’s doing them?  Christians!!

But, something else is happening. HIS COMING! HIS MANIFESTING!! In His Anointed Ones, His Christ on earth!!  And we say, “Why aren’t all of His people, seeing this Truth?

VS 10, “…because they receive not the LOVE OF THE TRUTH.”

Their LOVE is for whatever their pastors, teachers etc, tells them!! Take for example: When HIS TRUTH tells us, “It is CHRIST that is living in our flesh bodies, not us”: but when the pastor or teacher tells us, “well honey, that’s for when we die and go to heaven”. THAT, they BELIEVE!!!!   And you know why? They are believing a delusion of the carnal mind. They are not USING SOMETHING THAT WAS GIVEN TO US, THE MIND OF CHRIST.

VS 11, “And for this cause GOD shall send them STRONG DELUSION that they should believe A LIE!!!

What lies, you might ask.  (1) The Rapture.  (2) Armageddon (3) The Anti-Christ. Yes, these strong delusions will continue UNTIL ALL TURN TO THE HOLY SPIRIT!!

You see, the Spirit will give us understanding to EVERY scripture that was written, IF ONLY, we seek Him for HIS TRUTH!!  Seek Him.

“One man manifesting Christ, is better than 100 men preaching about Him.

May Christ Manifest in You, Daily.
