THE SPIRIT OF SONSHIP

THE SONS OF THE MINISTRY

The grammar is not the best due to the fact that, with a little editing, it was printed t as it was spoken, but we hope the message is a blessing to you. Write to us, we welcome your letters and comments. The truth about coming into the image of the Son of God has been fought and distorted, but nevertheless, it is getting into the hearts of many of God’s sincere and hungry saints. There is, now, an explosion of divine glory taking place throughout the land. God will say what He wants to say, do what He wants to do, and bring about His divine purposes in His own way. Hallelujah!

THE POWER OF SONSHIP ON OUR LIVES

Turn with me to Galatians 4:1-7. “Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all. n Now to get the context of who this heir is that he is talking about, we go back to the third chapter and in verse 16 it says: “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Christ. n So Christ is that seed, that heir of God, the seed of Abraham, the heir of the Promises — to whom the Promises were given. Now when we speak of Christ, he goes on in the third chapter to make us know that Christ is much bigger than what we have previously known. He is a many-membered man of whom Jesus Christ himself is the Cornerstone, the Head, the High Priest, the Chief one. Here in Gal 3:26, he said: “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

This takes us back to Gal 3:16 where Paul said there is an heir, there are some promises made, but it wasn’t Just to Abraham alone, nor to Abraham and his seeds, as of many seeds, but the one seed. And that one seed is the one Body of Jesus Christ. But in that Body of Jesus Christ, everyone who has been baptized into Christ and has put on Christ, have been made a part of and one with that Body of Christ.

SERVANT OF SERVANTS – LORD OF LORDS

We look and see the very next verse goes on to say “That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all. What he is bringing to them is — if you are reading all about being heirs of God and you are sitting there wondering, you Galatians, how come you are having so many problems in the world, how come you are having so many trials, how come so much frustration and why you can’t have dominion over things and you can’t use this title as heir and governor of the world since you have inherited all things. You wonder why you can’t use that power to win all your victories and to have dominion. But he said, although you are an heir, as long as you are still a child in your minority, in your immaturity, and before you have come to the adoption — now the adoption is not a man adopting someone else’s child. But the word “adoption” in the King James is a word from the Greek which means the placing as a full-grown son. And the word “adoption” means to take your child which you have birthed, who has come from your loins and from your bride, and have trained him and put him under tutors and governors and taken care of him, fed and protected him, brought him through all the problems he’s had, problems he couldn’t solve, but you brought him through them. You taught him that problems were only to be overcome.

CHILDHOOD TO MATURITY OF MANHOOD

There were times you had to paddle him and bring discipline upon him, yet he has come to the place now where he stands shoulder to shoulder, side by side with you and you have brought him to the elders to present your son. He has reached the age and stature where they considered him to be a mature son in partnership with his father. Whatever the son said was Just as though the father said it. Whatever he did was in the father’s name. If he signed a contract, the father would honor it. That’s a pretty heavy thing and you don’t give that to a five year old — you don’t give it to a twelve year old, you wait until that child comes to a full stature. In Jesus’ case, it was thirty years old when the Father spoke and announced to the world and to all creation and any principalities and powers that were listening and said, “This is my son in whom I am well pleased.

After that, He went forth in the Father’s name and whatever He said, the Father honored it. If He said, “Peace be still” He did not physically have to go out there and try to stop the waters, the Father honored that word and the waters died down, the wind stopped and the waves quit breaking because God honored His every word. Every contract he made, the Father honored it because he has now become a partner. This is what the word “adoption” means. This is the word huios which means a full-grown son and Rhesus” is placing that full-grown son in his place as a full-grown son in partnership with the father. This was a Jewish tradition and ceremony that they had when the son came to full age.

THE ADOPTION OF SONS

The word used in the King James Bible is “adoptions. But some people have misconstrued that, thinking that we have been someone else’s children and God adopted us — that we are not really His children, He just adopted us legally. That is not so. We are adopted when we, as children of God, birthed by the Spirit, born of God, have come to full age and stand ready to take over the dominion of the governments of this world. Let me just remind you, we aren’t there yet. The day of adoption, to my knowledge of scripture and what I feel in my spirit, this day of adoption is the next move of God on the agenda. It has to do with the passing through the veil into the Holy of Holies on the Day of Atonement in the Feast of Tabernacles with Old Testament types and shadows. That is the area we have come to at this present time.

“Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.” Gal. 4:1 Glory to God — lord of all.” He that overcometh shall inherit all things Paul told the Corinthian church, even in their immaturity that all things were theirs. They weren’t using them, they weren’t taking advantage of all things, but all things were theirs. My friends, God has planned for you a far greater future than you could have ever planned for yourself. We are under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the Father. You can’t cause yourself to grown one cubit, Jesus said, by just sitting down and taking thought. A lot of people preach that profession is possession. If I just claim it, I’ll have it. If I just claim to be a manifested son, if I just claim to have this dominion, I’ll have it.”

FROM KINDERGARTEN TO COLLEGE

There’s more to it than just professing it. Profess to be what you are in Christ — all things are ours through Jesus Christ. “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me. I am a child of God, an heir of the kingdom, to rule and reign with Jesus Christ.” But I don’t have to lie about anything. I don’t have to profess that I am something I’m not or I’m doing something I’m not doing. But there IS a time appointed of the Father. Jesus said that just by professing, by sitting down and taking thought, you can’t cause yourself to grow one cubit. So a child that is thirteen, or maybe happens to be in the first grade, which is about six years old, can’t just sit down and say “I’m tired of being in the first grade. I am tired of them not recognizing me for what I am, my ministry, and my maturity. I’m going to go down next year and enter college. There’s a growth process to go in between. Hallelujah! And growing is a beautiful experience.

I don’t know what God is doing to you to cause you to grow to the place where you can get into junior high school or whatever, but praise the Lord — I know that none of us are going to be ready for graduation until He catches us up. Thank God for an intervention of God. The intervention of God in our lives will do for us what we could never do in a million years. But we can and will come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, by His grace.

NO MORE A SERVANT

“Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God bath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Gal 4:3:7 So Paul ends up here reminding us of what we are in and through Jesus Christ.

SONSHIP AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH

What does the message of sonship have to do with our spiritual growth — being a son, of God, coming into the image of Jesus Christ? In order to understand anything about sonship, I have to look at the Son, the Lord Jesus. When I see Jesus and I begin to look at growth, I see where the scripture tells me that He went back and was subject to his parents and increased in stature, wisdom and favor with God and man. That was when he was 12 years old. Now, at the age of 12, we find Jesus going to Jerusalem with his parents and with many friends. When they left Jerusalem to go back to Nazareth, they went a day’s journey thinking that he was with some other people. The reason they thought he might be with some of the other people is that there were many children there in the crowd. There was a pilgrimage that had come down from Nazareth. On their way back they just thought all the children in the crowd going back that Jesus was there and when it came time to camp for the night he would come over to their camp and pitch with them.

They began to ask about the children and found out Jesus wasn’t there. The point I’m making is that there were a lot of twelve year aids that went down to Jerusalem at this time for this pilgrimage, but only one of them was the Son of God. I don’t see these who were not sons coming into a spiritual growth where their heart was crying out for the word of the Lord and for answers. Their heart wasn’t crying out to get into the temple of God and to be with these men who understood the law of the Lord. These other children had other things on their mind. They had their games they wanted to play. They were with their parents, perhaps. They were seeing all the sights of the big city. But there was one amongst them that was the Son of God and the cry of his heart was to get into the temple of God, to talk to those men that knew the word of God and ask them some questions that had been upon his heart. This is the difference that sonship will make in your spiritual growth. If you have been touched with the life of the Son of God, even in your immaturity and before you are full-grown there will be a cry in your heart for more of God. There will be a desire in your heart for the truth of God’s word. Hallelujah!

PHILIP AND NATHANAEL

Philip found Nathanael and brought him to Jesus. He told Nathaniel that they had found the one of whom Moses and the law and the prophets did write about. He was Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. Nathaniel said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said, “Come and see. Jesus Saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile Jn 1:47 Now this man was one in whom there was no hypocrisy, no deviousness. He was open hearted and clear with no guile in him. When Jesus began to talk to Nathanael said “How do you know anything about me?” Jesus said When you were under the fig tree, I saw thee. Immediately upon coming in contact with Jesus convinced him that He was the Ring of Israel. Talking to Philip never proved anything to Nathanael. It never convinced him about anything. Talking about the Son of God may lead you to Him and it is wonderful to talk about Jesus. I’m not putting that down.

Preaching and talking about Him may lead you to Him, but just talking about Jesus never convinced Nathanel of very much except that he ought to go see. But when he met the Son of God, when he came in contact with Him, there immediately sprung up within him a spiritual growth. Growth spiritually doesn’t happen just like our natural growth. God can grow people up spiritually in a hurry. I have seen some folks who were saved only six months that were spiritually more mature than some who had been saved for twelve years. It was not the years that had passed over their heads, it was their relationship with the Son of God. If you want to become spiritually mature, then don’t just talk about Jesus, but come to Him and come in contact with km and you will find maturity spiritually that will be springing up within your heart. Hallelujah!

SONSHIP BRINGS MATURITY IN CHARACTER

Immediately Nathanael said, when he came in contact with Jesus, “Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the king of Israel. So his spiritual maturity brought him a recognition of sonship and who the Son of God really was. Sonship and our spiritual growth brings a maturity in character. Maturity comes from being with the Son of God. Sonship will bring you into maturity. When I find people that are always protecting their own interests, their own selves, I always think of that little tract “Dying to Self”.

I always learn something from that. I try to be careful hat I don’t get in the same attitude myself, trying to protect myself or watch after my own interests. Every time I run into someone like that, I think of that. The answer to that is sonship working in our lives, that is, the life f the Son of God coming into our lives. He is the Son!

HUSBANDS AND WIVES AND SONSHIP

What does sonship have to do with our marriage relationships? What effect does sonship have on my relationship with our husband or wife? I look at the Son of God again, Jesus Christ our Lord. I see in Eph 5:25 where it says “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

In this relationship of husbands and wives Paul is saying here that this is like unto the relationship of Christ and His church. So when I think of a relationship with my wife, or wives with your husbands, then think of Jesus and his relationship with His church. What did he do? He gave himself for it. Now giving yourself for the church, or giving yourself for your wife doesn’t always mean to jump in front of her when someone is about to shoot her. That seldom happens. It doesn’t mean jumping in front of a car to push her out of the way. That happens once in a great while, but not often. What it means is the day to day basis of a consideration for your loved one, whether its a wife or husband, that your consideration is to make them happy, to bless their lives — not what can I get out of them, but what can I do for them. Jesus came and said “I didn’t come to be ministered to, I came to give my life as a ransom for many. Jesus came to the church to give himself to the church. This is sonship in the marriage relationship. Sons of God are going to find a marriage relationship that will just be heaven on earth because no sane partner in their right mind that is not totally demon possessed is going to be able to resist that kind of love. The Bible says “We love him because He first loved us. To have friends, the Bible says, you must show yourselves friendly.”

MORE BLESSED TO GIVE FIRST

A principle: Husbands, do your want your wife to be your slave? I’ll tell you how to do it. Do you want your wife to look after you, to wait on you hand and foot? – you first do it for her. She’ll do it to you because you first did it to her. Wives, you want a husband that will just do anything in the world for you? I’ll tell you how. He’ll love you and give himself to you because you first loved him.

“Who is going to be first in this?” You start off. What a Joyous thing it is! Christ and His church! He doesn’t demand anything from his church that he hasn’t done ten fold for us. A husband that continually demands, demands, demands of his wife because of his needs, what he wants and not thinking of what his wife would like to do -he is going to have a miserable marriage. A wife that is continually complaining and griping about what she doesn’t get to do and she hasn’t really looked after her husband’s needs, she is going to have a miserable marriage.

To turn a miserable marriage into an idealistic, happy, heaven on earth is sonship working in your life. Sonship is not some fanciful fairy tale up in the heavens somewhere it is something that works in your lives. The Son of God had a relationship with His bride and He set the example for us and our wives. He gave himself.

SONSHIP AND THE LOCAL BODY OF CHRIST

What does the effect of sonship have upon our relationship to the local Body of Jesus Christ? We know that there are people who go to church, it’s kind of a tradition. They are brought up in that church, they don’t know anything about the Son of God. Many are not even saved, but they go to church regularly and they pay their tithes, work on committees and do this and that. They have a real good churchianity experience” But what if they come into sonship? What does sonship do for their relationship with the church, the Body of Jesus Christ? Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple for He was so zealous of the House of God. Certainly we know that the house he was zealous of at this time was one that was going to be destroyed some years later, according to His word. We know this was a very imperfect order that he was talking about. But believe me, friends, he loved the order even if it was imperfect. He loved it. He didn’t intend for it to stay there, but he loved it. He loved the house of God even though He knew that order was coming down, even though he knew that order was not God’s perfect one. He knew those people were not spiritual.

I get real tired sometimes of people telling me how unspiritual we are here and what they don’t like about the church, here and elsewhere. We are not what we are going to be, we’re not what Christ desires for us or what He is going to bring us into, but the House of Prayer is a beautiful people. I don’t go around over the country telling people how unspiritual the House of Prayer is. That does not mean that I am satisfied with where we are at. We have people who come here and say “Oh God, if we could just have meetings like this in our town.” I hear that all of the time. As I go across the country I go into places where it is just like pulling teeth to get anyone to clap their hands, say “Amens, praise the Lord. worship, or anything.

JESUS LOVES US WHILE WE ARE YET IMPERFECT

Jesus knew that the temple was a passing order and that something better was coming, but he loved it. How he loved its When he saw the money changers defiling the temple of God, it raised something up in him and he got in there and put out that beast system. He ran those money changers out. John 2:17 says “And his disciples remembered that it was written, the zeal of shine house bath eaten me up.” I’ll tell you what a son will express, he’ll express such a zeal for the house of God that he can’t hardly wait to get there. He won’t stay home because he’s too tired, or he’s got a tooth ache, or company’s coming, or there is a good show on T.V. That’s not sonship’ — sonship is a zeal for the house of God, even as imperfect as it is and the passing order that it is. A son has a love and zeal for God’s house where God meets with His people as a Body. Glory to God! That is what I see in a son of God. Somebody said “You are tromping on my toes!” Praise the Lord, I am supposed to. If I don’t hit somebody sometime with some truth that will encourage you to go on and improve your lot in life, then I would be failing as a preacher of the Gospel.

REPROACH FOR HIS SAKE

Psalms 69:7-9 says “Because of thy sake I have born reproach; shame hath covered my face. I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children. For the zeal of shine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. n This is the scripture Jesus quoted in John. You know something, I don’t think that I have ever borne any reproach for any proven accusation on my character or anything I have done to someone. You may well know that I have had reports go out against me from coast to coast, but no one has ever given a report out on me that I stole any money from them, that I ripped them off or treated them poorly in any way.

The reports that have gone out is about the message and the preaching that I have received from the Lord. For thy sake have I borne reproach. This is what Jesus said. Jesus never hurt anyone. There is not one cry that went out because he injured them. He didn’t snuff the smoking flax or crush a reed. He didn’t step on a little one. He didn’t injure anybody consciously or unconsciously. There is not one report that could go out against Jesus for anything that He did except for His zeal for the house of God and for the message that God had given Him. He said “For thy sake I have borne reproach. Shame has covered my face. One Pharisee said to another: “Did you hear that they claim this Jesus of Nazareth makes the blind to see and the lame to walk? What do you make of such reports?” The other answered “I don’t know about that, but I’ve never heard a report yet that he made anyone blind or cripple.” For thy sake, Lord.

I had a preacher come one time and tell me: “Bill, they are laying for you in Indiana. Those preachers are just waiting for you to get up there.” This was years ago and I wasn’t doing much traveling then. I said “What? I don’t even know any preachers in Indiana.” He said, “They have your books and they are laying for you. Wait until you get up there.” That’s kind of a hard thing. How would you like to carry that kind of a load? They were good men of God — I’m not talking about the devil. If someone said the devil was after me I’d say “Okay, I know that. If they would say athesist Murray is on my trail” I’d say “Let her go at it.” when they say a man of God, this pastor, or this prophet, he’s against me, that tears me up. Why? Jesus went through this. It was not the sinners. It was not the gentiles that were fighting him. It was God’s people, the best people on earth. They were the closest to the truth of any on earth. They were the ones who rose up. That’s why said “I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an n to my mother’s children. For the zeal of shine house eaten me up and the reproaches of them that reproached are fallen upon me.”

FIRST UPON HIM

Oh child of God, let me tell you something. When you get a reproach come against you for the truth that you are bearing, that reproach first had to come upon God, our Father. Jesus said the reproaches that came upon you have fallen upon me. They fell upon us from Him. They don’t touch us without going through Him. I consider it a wicked and a foolish thing for men of God to reject other men of God and to pass false rumors about them on the basis of unfounded and unproved reports that have come to them they never checked out. But they first have to fall upon Jesus, then they fall upon us. So remember this, my friends. Don’t get to feeling sorry for yourself the next time somebody reproaches you for the Lord’s sake, feel sorry Him. It first came upon Him, then it fell upon you.

Jesus said “I am become a stranger unto my brethren, an alien unto my mother’s children.” The people did not understand Him, His own brethren didn’t understand him. The reason they didn’t is because “the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. This is what sonship will do to you in relationship to the church of Jesus Christ. It will put such a zeal in your heart to see the Body of Jesus Christ grow and come to maturity that you will be willing to bear any kind of reproach, or suffer any kind of rumors in order see the work of God built up and grow.

HOW ABOUT YOUR EARTHLY POSSESSIONS?

I just want to make a statement here about sonship and material possessions. I read where Jesus said that the foxes have holes, the birds of the air have their nests, but Son of man hath no where to lay His head. I know there is a spiritual application to that. At that time Jesus Christ was the head of the Body of Christ and there was no where He could lay his head. There was no Body that was fully grown where he could put His head on that Body and have a mature, complete man in the earth. He is growing up a Body now, growing a Body up to the Head, even Christ, to where that Head will have a place to lay. That Head will have a place that it can sit upon a body. I know that’s a spiritual application, but there is also a physical truth there. Jesus never owned a lot of material possessions.

When he rode into to Jerusalem he had to ride in on a borrowed Jackass. When he was buried, he had to be buried in a borrowed tomb. When he had the Last Supper he had to borrow a room to have it in. Now, I am not about to tell you that you have to get rid of all your possessions and give them to the poor and go on welfare. I am not saying that. But I am saying this — that none of us ought to own anything. Everything we have been entrusted with by the Lord ought to be His and we are merely stewards of these things. They are His, to use as He sees fit.

We know that under the law we had to pay our 10%. Now is that lifted off of us when we come into sonship? I’ll tell you what sonship will do to your tithes and offerings. It will lift off of you the law where you have to give your 10, and lay upon you a word of love where you have to give all. And then when He speaks to you and tells you to give thus and so, you have to do that because it’s a new law. It’s a new law of love that is laid upon you. Jesus gave everything, He didn’t stop with 10%. He gave everything that He had. He gave away to earth the greatest treasure that heaven ever had! Did you know that? You think of the treasures of heaven, the riches of God by Christ Jesus and the greatest treasure they had was his own life and he poured that life out to the earth that we might partake of that treasure.

HOW ABOUT YOUR PREACHING, ARE YOU OVERBALANCED?

The last point I want to make is the effect of sonship upon a balanced message. What does sonship do for my preaching? Here it looks like I don’t preach on anything but sonship. But what does sonship do for my preaching? First of all, let’s look at the Son of God. Was he balanced or was he overbalanced in one area? He taught much on the Kingdom and lived the revelation of the Father. But first of all, he loved sinners. That was something the Pharisees couldn’t seem to get along with. They couldn’t seem to harmonize with the way Jesus loved sinners. They considered themselves apart from the sinners – Don’t touch my robes. I can’t dirty my hands on you, I’ll be unclean for a certain number of days. I can’t touch a dead body. I wouldn’t dare touch a leper. I couldn’t fulfill my religious functions if I did. n But Jesus loved sinners. He touched the lepers, he touched the dead. He raised them up from the dead, by the way. He would take hold of a dead person’s hand. Did you know that according to the law he would be unclean and couldn’t enter the temple of God? But my friends, he was IN the temple of God. He was in the Holy of Holies when he did its He superseded the old law of Moses. Sonship will put such a love in your heart for sinners.

He also loved the multitudes. He didn’t Just have his own little 12 men that he enjoyed being with. When the multitudes followed him over to the wilderness and they got hungry, he was conscious of their needs. He told his disciples to feed the people. But they said “How can we feed them? We don’t have any money or bread.” But Jesus said “Feed them.” All the disciples had, was a little boy’s lunch, so they took it to Jesus and with it He fed the multitude. A son is always conscious of the needs of others.

THE SPIRIT OF SONSHIP

We can get into a place where we think we understand all about perfection and sonship and we are waiting for the move to get us off into the heavens and to pass through the veil. We may not think we need those people out there — we don’t need the masses. We’ll Just get our own little place. But that’s not the spirit of sonship, friends. The spirit of sonship is to reach out there to those that don’t understand. That’s why we always have to consider the fact that we have to enlarge our facilities and make room for the people who are hungry for God here in Springfield. Jesus said “Feed my sheep.”

The message of sonship is not to limit it to our own little group, but to reach out to others and bring them in. The desire of the heart of the sons is not an exclusive, elite little super fellowship, but it’s to reach out and feed those people who may not understand Kingdom talk. Feed them what they can eat. If they can’t eat steak, feed them fish, if they can’t eat fish, give them bread. Give them something that they can digest. That’s the spirit of sonship. Jesus demonstrated this principle so clearly.

Jesus loved the little children. I am thinking of natural little children as well as spiritual. Sometimes I get tired of people staying little children so long. It would be nice if we could keep our grandchildren like they are for the next 20 years and then let them grow up, but that is impossible. But on the spiritual side, I’d like to see folks grow up right away. But in spite of the fact that some of them are not growing up, those that are in sonship will love them anyhow and will protect them and treat them like little children should be treated.

THE SONS AND THE MINISTRY

Another thing I notice about Jesus is that He loved the ministry. He loved preachers. He loved to see other men ministering. They came to him one day and said “Lord, we saw some men casting out devils in your name, but they are not with us. We forbid them to do that.” But Jesus told them not to forbid them, but to let them cast out spirits and minister in His name. Whatever they are doing, they are blessing the people. No man can do anything in His name without adding to the Kingdom of God. He would love to see all men minister. He taught his own disciples, and then he poured out his spirit upon them and sent them out to minister as He ministered, by His power, in His Name.

One time he sent out seventy, two by two. Thirty-five teams he sent out on the field, to preach and cast out demons, to raise the dead. Now I was told that was not the way to do it. I visited the office of one of America‘s largest evangelists and his public relations man at that time was a personal friend of mine. He took me on a tour through the office and showed me their video tape machines where they made their T.V. broadcasts. I told him I had a radio broadcast in Kansas. He told me that if I wanted to be successful I must be the number one man and not to let anyone else come in and preach on the broadcast. He told me not to mention other preachers on the broadcast. These were the principles they were operating by.

You don’t promote other ministries — Jesus, don’t you know You’re doing it wrong? If you put seventy guys out there casting out devils, people will lose interest in You. You won’t be the Prophet in Israel anymore that casts out devils. Instead of coming to you when they want devils cast out, they will go over and find old Joshua, Jonah and some of these other guys over there. Jesus said that’s fine. Praise the Lord! Scatter the ministry out.” There was no jealousy in his heart. I am saying that because if total sonship is working in Your life and the spirit of the Son is working in you, you won’t have any jealousy, preachers, about what somebody else is doing and about how they are being honored or how much ministry they are having. This is the spirit of sonship.
