FAITHS DESTINATION

BY: PETER DEMETRIS

IN OTHER WORDS OUR JOURNEY OF FAITH IS ALSO A JOURNEY TO UNDERSTANDING.

FROM FAITH TO FAITH

So much that is taught about faith is limited to simple and often ritualistic confessions of faith or defined by formulas and dogma rather than the knowledge that can only come from a genuine experience of and through the Holy Spirit.

Name it and claim it, blab it and grab it, confess and possess are clichés describing an often-used mechanism to supposedly trigger the response of God.  My own walk of faith has taught me that over time formula’s breakdown and confessions, affirmations and ritualistic prayer do very little to meet the deep needs of the broken heart of mankind.

I believe it is the right of every one in Christ to have the Most Holy faith that Jesus spoke of, lived by and demonstrated throughout His life. It was not defined by His nationality or upbringing.

The belief that Jesus had toward God, Himself and the creation of the world, was all realized from His heart by faith.  In fact the Bible states that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Right there you can hear the progressive nature of faith. It has a beginning and an ending.  Faith has a destination and what Christ has begun in us all, He is going to bring to a complete and perfect maturity that will be evidenced by the great release of His people to move and have their being in God, as never before, right here on earth.

Hebrews 11:1 states that Faith IS the substance of things hoped for.  So, assuming we believe this a question comes to mind that I feel is very important to ask.  What faith?  Which faith? … And whose faith… or can any so-called faith (belief) be suitable to fulfill the meaning of this verse?

When you consider the amount of theology that permeates our world and culture, how does the faith which the author of this Hebrew epistle speaks, be found?

Which denominational structure offers the same thing that the Bible is declaring?  Is it Catholic faith, Protestant Faith and its many offspring?

Is it Orthodoxy, or is there some other brand of Christianity that offers a real expression to the meaning of faith?  Are they all correct or all in error?  Are they all partially true or is there something else that is missing from the equation.

It becomes even more perplexing when you begin to look at the divisions within the ranks of the various so – called faiths. There seems to be a division among the adherents of the same faith that in some cases are very large and distinct while others are subtle and nuanced yet, divisions abound.

So, how does one come to discover the faith that Jesus himself spent His three and half years of ministry preaching and teaching about and telling the disciples that if you have the faith, no larger than a mustard seed and doubted not… you would say unto this mountain (any challenge) to be removed and it should obey your voice. Nothing would be impossible to us by faith.

As we lay line upon line and precept upon precept we will endeavor to ascend in the secret place of stairs to obtain the inner hidden and spiritual meaning of God’s Word that lies within the shell or the letter of the Word and beyond the surface understanding.

I also trust this article will bring more light to the very first principles of faith that pertain to the salvation of mankind because as I often repeat, this is not deeper truth…but the truth deeply applied.

Faith does not belong to the denominations. Faith belongs to those who believe. The importance of finding THE FAITH can only be understood when the liberating force of true faith becomes experientially alive within you.  God has predestined a people to walk by faith.

What that actually translates out to when you take all the religious language and ritualistic bondage from its definition is a people who have been transformed and released from the boundaries and limits of the natural world as it pertains to every aspect of life.

The power of faith is absolutely incredible. Jesus healed and set the people of that day free from every form of illness, sickness and disease.  He demonstrated an authority over all the natural laws of nature by His spoken Word.  He brought to light the real meaning of the Torah while keeping Himself pure from the voices of the World and fulfilled with perfect obedience God’s will and purpose for His life by faith.  (Which could be stated as being His perfect and complete trust of God’s voice and direction in His life).

Not only do all things become possible with God but through faith (belief) we begin to understand things about God, His Son and Christ within us that we could never hope to understand any other way.

St. John wrote that…whatever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Faith has a glorious purpose and that is why I have often said that there are some things that God can only show us in a higher place of experience.

Just as Peter, James and John followed Jesus, to a High Mountain apart… you and I, today are going to rise to a higher place of love, understanding and power.

Having taken them up and away from the natural, carnal and traditional…they Awakened into the vision of Christ transfigured.  That’s a destination of the Spirit.   Be ye Transformed (Metamorphosis) by the renewing of our mind.

Mountain Top events symbolize the higher places of spiritual experience where we see things about God we can see no other way and hear His voice coming from His Most Excellent Glory.

In these moments of light as reality breaks through your own walk of faith, the knowledge we have learned or heard about God and His Kingdom becomes (turns, transforms) the substance of things hoped for and the EVIDENCE of things not seen.

Through Faith…and right here we could mention the multifaceted gift that faith is. Through faith we are saved, healed, delivered from darkness and brought into light…through faith we receive gifts of the Spirit and work the works of God’s miracle working power, and as wonderful as all these manifestations of faith are, there is a dynamic event occurring in and through the saints that is causing a shift of consciousness and Identity realization and that is through faith we…UNDERSTAND.

The scriptures say that Wisdom is the principle thing but with all thy getting get UNDERSTANDING.

The Hebrew is derived from biynah {bee-naw’} and is related to judgment, discernment, understanding, 1) understanding, discernment 1a) act 1b) faculty 1c) object 1d) personified

In his introduction to the Book of Proverbs, Solomon, states its purpose… to know wisdom and what stands behind the surface interpretation of the Words of God and all mysteries.

Proverbs 1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

To illustrate the divine nature of understanding I have included a picture of the sefirotic tree of life.

In order to explain the descent of God from an invisible state into the world order of time and space, the Hebrew sages and teachers employed the use of what was called the sefirotic tree.  It was understood that God, the Living God, the Creator of  the Heavens and the Earth descended from an invisible state of existence into the visible world in which we exist through ten points or steps of (descent) of light.

Each circle represents a point of light and descent. The entire image was also interpreted as an Adamic prototype of the creation of man.  and the descent of God’s character, nature and power untill the fullness of God is revealed in Malkhut, (kingdom)

The various aspects of God’s nature was united throughout the descent by triads for the upper, middle and lower regions, also linked with the anthropomorphic model of Adam Kadmon. The upper triad, which was unseen and spiritual in nature, surrounded the head and was first, named Keter or Crown. This primary issue of God was the pure untouched substance of Himself, linked with Hokhmah or Wisdom and Binah or Understanding.

Faith has a destination and we are being drawn upward and inward to a dynamic place of understanding within ourselves.

IN OTHER WORDS OUR JOURNEY OF FAITH IS ALSO A JOURNEY TO UNDERSTANDING.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing implies that you understand what has been spoken.  So now we have three dynamic principles of the Kingdom of God, all at work within consciousness and are united as one within this divine apothecary.

1. Faith. The substance of things hoped for and through faith we have SALVATION in Jesus Christ the Lord.  We are saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8)

2. Righteousness.  Revealed from faith to faith

Romans 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.  28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

3. Understanding. Faith comes by hearing and hearing implies UNDERSTANDING.

The faith, which we speak of, comes as you hear the Word of the Gospel, spoken in the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  Not just any kind of ministry or preaching, but the ministry that proceeds out from the anointing. That anointing was symbolized in the Old Covenant, by the oil used to consecrate and ordain the Kings, Priests and Prophets to their office in God.  It symbolized the power of God that was upon the vessel.

This was what the one hundred and twenty disciples received in the upper room when the day of Pentecost was fully come. They were anointed by the Spirit of God and began to preach and teach the things concerning Christ in us our hope of glory

Jesus warned us in parables of the Kingdom, how important it is to carefully hear what is being spoken.  I cannot emphasize this principle enough.  Hearing what is being spoken goes to something much deeper than the simple hearing of a sound or voice. It denotes UNDERSTANDING

It is significant that St. Paul, wrote in the fifth chapter of his epistle to Rome, that by one man’s disobedience, sin entered the world and passed upon many.  The Greek word for disobedience is parakoe, which means to miss – hear or to neglect.  Adam sinned because he was careless and gave no attention to what the Lord had spoken to him. It is also revealing where this took place and who was with him.

It was the time of Eden’s paradise, (Kingdom of God) And besides Adam’s wife, Eve, was that old serpent, the adversary, accuser of the brethren, the tempter, the Devil, Satan Himself.

So now look at the verse where Jesus is explaining the mysteries of the Kingdom of God and see that things haven’t changed much.

Matthew 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he, which received seed by the way side.

In each case the fruitful nature of the seed whether it be 30 fold, 60 fold or 100 fold, would be determined by how we HEAR

Faith comes by Hearing….and Hearing signifies UNDERSTANDING. When you hear with understanding the Word of Faith (belief) is written upon our Heart and Mind.

2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Romans 10, from verse 6 through verse 10 speak about the process by which our faith is manifested. There is no geographical place to go…. or for Christ to come from.  The Word (which we preach) is in thy mouth.

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above🙂

7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.

As you find (discover, believe, awaken to) the Word of faith in your heart your mouth will begin to confess it, bringing forth the evidence of your salvation from the heart.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

FROM FAITH TO FAITH

As I have previously stated, but worth repeating today the Lord, is writing a new chapter into our walk of faith.  A door into that which is beyond the veil of flesh, beyond the surface and letter of the Word into that inner, hidden and spiritual meaning and making application of it in our lives today and now.

While on the isle of Patmos, St. John was also caught up to a higher place of experience, as God revealed the spiritual meaning behind the events of that day.

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Folks should realize that… Come up does not denote a geographical change from earth to heaven or the location of the physical body… but the higher reality (within consciousness) of God’s prophetic and inspired Word that was flowing in and through His mind and heart.

In the same way the Holy Spirit is calling us more fully into a world within ourselves in Christ, as vast and as thrilling to discover as any space novel could provide.

Such is the nature of our study from Hebrews 11:5… By Faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death. Now someone might be saying how can the life of a man who lived at the beginning of time have anything to do with my life today?

Actually everything.  The very mention of his name reveals that something about his life and purpose is relevant to our own transformation.

As we allow the Spirit to remove any scales upon the eyes of our understanding or to wash away any other thing within our hearts that may cloud our spiritual vision we will begin to see that we are not reading about Enoch at all, but ourselves in Christ.

In Luke 24: 45 following His resurrection from the dead, Jesus opened the understanding of His disciples that they might understand the scriptures.

And UNDERSTANDING is the name of the door where knowledge is transformed into experience.  The key words that immediately unlock Enoch’s mystery, message and ministry is… By Faith Enoch….the same like precious faith that enabled Enoch to walk with God, not see death and experience the translation of his whole soul and body is the same faith that has enabled us to believe in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord.  So the importance of the knowledge contained within cannot be understated.

All truth is parallel and we can find many, hidden within Enoch’s story that takes us all the way back to Genesis chapter 5.

Genesis 5:21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not, for God took him.

Enoch is not only a type of Christ and His Body of Sons but he is listed within the genealogy of the Lord Himself, in Luke 3:37

The son of Jared, whose name means descent and symbolized the fact that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  Jesus was not a symbolic man or type and shadow of a perfect man contrived by the imaginations of men.

He was in the world and the world was made by Him but the world knew Him not.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Many today are still seeking ways to deny that Christ ever came.  The reasons for this vary from the intelligent to the foolish but in denying His divinity and presence on earth they deny themselves the efficacious nature of His blood atonement.

But he that ascended to the Right Hand of God, first descended to the lowest parts of the earth.

Ephesians 4:9 Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Furthermore not only has Christ come, died for our sins as it is written in the scriptures.  Having risen from the dead, ascended to the Father in heaven.  He has poured out the Spirit of God within us whereby we cry Abba Father and Now WE are the sons of God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Anyone denying that Christ IS come IN the flesh… that is our flesh is the spirit of antichrist.

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confessed not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5

Enoch was 65 years old when he birthed Methuselah, the man who lived to be 969 years old, just 31 short years from one thousand.

So after Enoch Birthed a SON he WALKED with God.  Isn’t that strangely familiar.  When you realize that Christ the Son was born in your heart and now, you walk with God,

Also is the fact that Enoch’ s first offspring lived to be the oldest living man of his age and time.  As I mentioned he lived 969 years a little short of a thousand years.

It is significant (meaning worth looking into further) that  in Revelation 20 and verse 4. the offspring of Christ ( the first fruits son) our (heavenly Enoch )  shall rule and reign with Him a thousand years and break the covenant of death and hell.

Do not be overwhelmed by the bits and pieces of information that is come forth by revelation.  It’s all about Identity realization.  If you can find yourself in any of these pictures of truth, the Word acts as a mirror reflecting back your own image in Christ.  Then you are establishing a witness of the presence of Christ and His power to transform your life by the renewing of your mind.

Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam,

Seven is truly a sacred number that denotes the perfection, completeness and maturity that is realized through a process.

Enoch was the 7th from Adam and normally I would connect the meaning of the number Seven with the principle of the Sabbath Day of Rest.  There are many nuggets of gold to be mined through a study that opens this principle of God within consciousness.

However there is another link here that is important to explore.  This connects Enoch’s symbolism with Jesus who was The Last ADAM.

He represents the completeness and maturity of a process that began with the birth of Adam.

He was the 7th from Adam or the last man God needed before the flood to accomplish His purpose in the earth.  In the same way Jesus, The Last Adam was the last person God needed to fulfill His promise to mankind and now a change of order is at hand.

As in Adam all die, so in Christ all shall be made alive.

The name Enoch, means, dedicated, trained up and to inaugurate.

He was set apart and taught of God in such a way as to inaugurate a new day and order of God’s purpose.

He was translated that he should not see death. It is significant when you realize that God has made promise to us that we should not all sleep (die) but be changed.  (1 Cor. 15:52)

We are living in a time of transition, crossing over by a new and living way to the other side of now.  The Bible states that we are already translated out of the power of darkness into the kingdom of his dearly beloved Son.

(Colossians 1:12, 13)

Right now we are raised up together to sit together in heavenly place in Christ.  (Ephesians 2:6)

Today is the day and now is the time of a great salvation ready to be revealed in Christ. God ordained that His Holy One should not see corruption nor leave His soul in hell (unseen realm)

Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

That’s why King David could rest in hope knowing, that when he would awake he would find himself in the likeness of God.

Psalm 17:15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

This is why St. Paul cries out in Ephesians 5:14 to awake to righteousness.

Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

We are being awakened as we journey to this mountain of experience, renewal and transformation.  A dynamic metamorphosis is occurring. What is on the inside is coming out. Mortality is being swallowed up of life.

Enoch walked with God for 300 years. 300 is a number that is connected with the fullness of God exponentially increased.  One hundred signifies the fruitful nature of a one hundred-fold experience. Therefore three hundred is the fullness of Christ, Spirit, Soul and Body.

You find the number 300 connected to very powerful symbols of God’s plan and purpose.  Noah’s Ark was 300 cubits long.  Signifying the complete deliverance that Noah and His family received.

Gideon had an army of just 300 when he defeated the Midianites and judged Israel all the days of His life.  His victory was a revelation of these last days. The 300 carried a lantern and trumpet. They attacked the enemy at midnight (transition time) by the Light of the Word and the trumpeting of its message.

King David had 300 shields of gold made and placed them in the temple of God.

Gold is an element representing the Divine nature of God.  A shield was used for protection and symbolizes the nature of our faith.

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The divine nature of our faith and the grace that accompanies the revelation of Jesus Christ is our shield against the opposition and challenges we face, just as the shield protected the warrior in his battles.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:

Faith has a destination.  Together we are climbing this High mountain apart. A time of change and transition is catching us up to a higher state of His life and power to act in and through our lives.

We are being changed from the natural, carnal, soulish aspect of life to the spiritual heavenly life giving nature of Christ in us the hope of Glory.

The walk of a people is being healed in this hour.  An apostolic ministry is saying look on us. Silver and Gold have I none but such as I do have, give I unto thee.  Rise up and Walk in Jesus name.

We are being translated as God reinterprets the meaning and message of our lives today and Now.

I trust this short article will help nourish the like precious faith we share in communion of our Lord Jesus Christ.
