GLORY in the LORD

BY: RAY PRINZING

“But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.” (2 Cor. 10:17-18)

“Let not the wise boast himself in his wisdom,

Nor let the mighty boast himself in his might,

Let not the rich boast himself in his riches,

“But in this let the boaster boast himself, in understanding and knowing Me, For I am Jehovah, doing kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth, for in these I have delighted.” (Jer. 9:23-24, Young’s)

“But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” (1 Cor. 1:30-31)

There is a glorying, a boasting, but it is not in the sphere of our “self,” it is in WHAT HE IS, and what we are becoming through UNION WITH HIM. The new man in Christ Jesus is to shew forth His praise, for what we are becoming in him is actually an extension of the manifestation of HIS LIFE.

If it is wisdom you would glory in, then glory not in the wisdom of Solomon, or some other great man, for “behold a greater than Solomon is here,” (Matt. 12:42), even He “in Whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Col. 2:3)

If it is righteousness you would glory in, then “IN THE LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.” (Isa. 45:25)

If it is sanctification you would glory, “Thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the HOLY ONE of Israel.” (Isa. 41:16) Holy One - literally means THE SEPARATED ONE, separated from all that is evil and corrupt, and separated unto all that is pure and just. HE is our Set Apart One. Had He not suffered without the gate, we would have no one to go to out there. He is our sanctification.

You would glory in redemption? Redemption means “a loosing away,” and He alone is able to loose us from all that is corruptible, vanity, earthy, and bring us into His more abundant life. IN HIM ALONE WE SHALL GLORY.
