LETTER REFERRING TO PRESENT

SPIRITUAL WALK

Dear _________,

My heart and my prayers are with you and [your wife] at this time. I know that what you’re going through is very painful. Death, and birth.

I have from the first recognized a gift of Christ in you much similar to my own. Several years ago as I sought the Lord as to “WHAT, already?” He responded by saying that He was calling me to be “My interpreter, so that others may understand the language that I speak.” Over time I’ve come to understand better what that means. I’ve also come to a deep realization that He is not dividing humanity into ‘us’ and ‘them,’ ‘saved’ and ‘unsaved,’ ‘Christian’ and ‘secular.’ The wind does blow wheresoever it will, and has little regard for man-made definitions and structures. All of mankind is His, and He is ours.

For my part, He’s called me out of every kind of religious organization. It took a long time. I kept thinking that surely with the writing and prophetic gifts He’d granted me I was to have some sort of ministry. Once I quit trying to fit into the traditional Christian realm, He began to bless me beyond measure in my so-called secular calling that of a horseman. He’s gifted me with a revelatory understanding of a particular kind of horse, and the ability to convey that understanding to others. He’s granted me insight and creativity to invent products that genuinely help horses and riders. To my amazement and the consternation of more than a few I am now considered the top gaited horse writer/clinician/teacher in the world. I never even owned my own horse until I was in my mid-thirties! Only the Lord could have done this. He laid out the path, and caused me to stumble onto it almost by accident. In the process, He has indeed given me the desires of my own true heart which, after all, was formed by Him.

Here’s the part that’s been unfolding most recently: what I am doing in my professional life IS the work of the Kingdom of God just as surely as writing and teaching more directly about the nature of God would be. The people I teach are always amazed at the depth of understanding I possess, and the ability to teach them things that are genuinely True, for He has granted that I teach ‘as one who has authority.’ When we are quickened by God to comprehend a thing, and then pass that understanding on to others by the same Spirit that taught us, then we are in fact teaching the Word of God, albeit in a realm traditionally considered secular. Now I perceive that nothing is truly secular. Everything is by, and for, and unto God. When we comprehend something by the Spirit of God, whether it be regarding horses or engineering or bookkeeping or nursing or farming or building-whatever then we have been granted an understanding into yet another aspect of our magnificent Creator. That which is considered mundane is revealed as divine.  This means that any vocation to which God leads us is just as sacred a calling as is the more traditional understanding of what it means to be a teacher, missionary, preacher, etc. We take Christ to the world by revealing Him in all things IN the world.

This new revelation of Christ in all things is a hallmark of the current (not next…) move of God. He is being revealed to those with ‘eyes to see’ in every realm of life. By the time this process has been completed, there will be a body of believers who are CONSCIOUSLY living, and moving, and having their being entirely IN HIM, in every aspect of Life. We will be living life in a realm of ‘all truth.’ It is an awe-inspiring prospect! Religious systems of all kinds oppose this process violently, for the culmination of the process will result in their abolition. Religion depends entirely upon the spirit of man, trying to be ‘as God,’ teaching others all about Him. But He alone will do the teaching, by revealing Himself through man, as A Man.

Acts 17:24 24] God who made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of Heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands. 25] Neither is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things. 26] And He hath made of one blood all nations of men, and caused them to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined their appointed times, and the bounds of their habitation, 27] that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might feel after Him and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us. 28] ‘For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.’ As also certain of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

Hebrews 8:10  10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Please take heart, little brother. As a wise person once said, “The best is yet to be!”

In His love,
