LITTLE LETTER

BY:  CARL R. SCHWING  OCTOBER-NOVEMBER, 2006

I begin this letter with the following words of our brother Paul to the Colossians: "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God."

"If ye then be risen with Christ" ... Such awesome words, profound words filled with mystery and truth. As we "seek those things which are above", we leave everything of the lower life of fear, superstition, lifeless traditions and stale manna: Leaving the lower understanding of prayer, worship, and the life to follow. Being freed, thereby, to take flight into the realm of the Resurrected Life in Christ Jesus "where Christ is seated at the right hand of God." This is the holiest of all places within the Father's House. It is where the Sons of the Resurrection dwell in the presence of their Everlasting Father.

We no longer look upon the world and its tribulations. For in Adam's world there will always be tribulation and war. Religious zealots seek to have a government of "born again" politicians, thinking they would usher in the Kingdom of God. O, fools and slow of heart ... carnal men with carnal thoughts could never rule the Kingdom of the most High. The Kingdom of God is not of this world, rather, it is from above; it is from within. And it shall be ruled by the Spirit of Righteousness, the Spirit of Holiness, the Spirit of Love and Equality. Poor earthbound man continues to struggle, seeking to find the answer to all of his questions, the solution to all of his problems, and seeking to find peace in his religious persuasion. As you know, there is but one answer, one solution, and one source of peace ... the Lord Jesus Christ.

We find nothing in the lower realms of religious spirituality. We are from above, and our citizenship is in the higher realms of the Spirit. We are always seeking for the deeper truths which are hidden beneath the surface of the Written Word, for they point us to the divine truths which dwell beyond the Sacred Page. And the Spirit of the living God leads us into the Essence of all truth. He leads us into the Center of all reality, and into the Source of all life: The Lord Jesus Christ, the Living Word of the Father.

Being made partakers of His glorious resurrection, the life of our Beloved is working in us, as we wait, in these early hours of the Day of the Lord, for the stone of flesh to be rolled away; that our inner-son may come forth as a member in particular of His glorified Body.

Christ, the Anointed One ... anointed of God ... crowned King of glory; having the fullness of the Godhead dwelling in Him, shall suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye, rise up within His younger brothers in the brilliance of ten thousand suns, to awaken their spiritual senses: That they might ascend with Him beyond all human borders: Beyond man's religious dreams and concepts: Beyond spiritual darkness in high places and beyond the powers of death, hell, and the grave, into the Eternal Realms of the Spirit. It is there, that the mortal shall put on immortality and the Spirit of Transformation shall finish His perfect work. Oh! Wonderful day ... the long awaited hour ... the glorious moment when our Beloved shall appear, and we shall appear with Him in the glory of Eternal Union with the Father. And we shall dwell in His House forever ... to serve His purposes in the Ages to come.

Our Father is moving by His Spirit, moving across the earth. He hears the moaning of the whole Creation as they wait to be lifted to the higher grounds of life as it is in Christ Jesus: Waiting for the Manifestation of the Sons of God: Waiting for the Kingdom to cover the earth. And they do not wait in vain, for all these things shall surely come to pass.

We, too, moan within waiting for the time of our manifestation, waiting for the time of the Restitution of all Things: Waiting for every knee to bow, and every tongue to confess that Christ is Lord. We are waiting for the time of the New Heaven and the New Earth: Waiting for the Holy City to appear, and, we are anxiously awaiting the Wedding Feast of the Lamb, the feast of a New Beginning. Hallelujah! Nor is our waiting in vain, for all these things shall surely come to pass. Our Father has even greater plans which are yet to be revealed in the Full Revelation of Jesus Christ.

The ways of our Father are beyond human comprehension. One may study His ways, but one cannot learn His ways. One may preach or teach of His ways, but they cannot perform or predict them. Only the Spirit of Sonship can take the ways of the Father and show them to us ... reveal them to us ... impart them to us ... implant them in us, and perform through us.

Let us, with utmost reverence and humility, stand firm in our high calling in Christ Jesus. Our calling far transcends the teachings of Christianity. It is our Beloved calling us unto, and into, Himself. It is the Spirit leading us into the Eternal Realms of our Father's vast domain, where we have fellowship with the saints and the spirits of justified men made perfect. The fullness of our high calling in Christ Jesus will continue to unfold throughout the Ages. Our calling is part of the mystery of the wondrous ways of our almighty Father. And, wonder of the Ages, our calling is part of the mystery of the Godhead.

My brother-sister-sons, we have bread to eat which the world and religion know nothing of. There are heavenly places reserved for us which are completely unknown to the "saved of the earth." The Father's love is unmeasurable, unconditional, and it endures forever. He lowered us into the realm of death, that we might lift the whole Creation upward into the realms of life. And, like our elder Brother, though we walk in earth's shadows, we can also walk in the light of the heavenlies.

Sometimes, in the deep silence of the night watch, our spirit escapes its prison house of flesh and soars to the secret place of the most High, where it is free to rest in the shadow of the Almighty as it partakes of the peace and joy of the deeper Sabbath. Alone with the Father ... free to bask in the divine light of His matchless love: Free to feel the warmth of the overshadowing fire of His Spirit:  Free to partake of the Living Communion ... free to feed with our Beloved among the Lilies. These precious moments are part of the riches of our inheritance in Christ Jesus. They are the moments which cause the morning stars to sing and the Sons of God to shout. The moments we spend in His presence are reminders of the time when we were all together in our Father's House.

Though, at present, it would appear that we are just a "few", however, we have the Living Witness of our Father that we are members of His vast family of sons. Eons ago we were born out from Him; born of His love, breath of His breath, spirit of His Spirit, life of His life. We were born in full stature with our Father's characteristics and energies. We were born to be lords and creator-sons; born to do His will in all things; born to be His glory throughout the Ages. The Father is always with us. And, we will be one with the Father even as our elder Brother is one with Him. And, we will all dwell together in the sacred hollow of our Father's heart.

In this life, at times, we walk through the wilderness of loneliness. But we always carry, within the tabernacle of our heart, the Covenant of our Beloved's ever abiding presence. His presence overshadows us, abides within us, goes before us. And we are overwhelmed to the point of divine ecstacy. Just the thought of His presence and love cause all the shadows of loneliness to flee away. Our mind tells us that we are lonely for the fellowship of others, and there is some truth in that. However, the Spirit of Truth tells us that the loneliness we suffer comes from the depths of our spirit ... He tells us our loneliness is that of a son for his Father. It is the loneliness of a lover for the Beloved. It is a loneliness for our vast family of brother-sister-sons. It is a homesickness for our Father's House of many dwelling places.

I close this little letter with the words of exhortation our brother Paul wrote to the Ephesians. Let us feast upon his words for like our elder Brother's they are spirit and they are life.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in HEAVENLY PLACES in CHRIST: According as he hath CHOSEN US in him BEFORE the FOUNDATION of the world ... Having made known to us the MYSTERY OF HIS WILL, according to HIS GOOD PLEASURE which He hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times HE MIGHT GATHER TOGETHER IN ONE ALL THINGS IN CHRIST, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, even in him: In whom also we have OBTAINED AN INHERITANCE, being PREDESTINA TED according to the purpose of him who worketh ALL THINGS after the council of HIS OWN WILL: That we should be to the praise of his glory…

"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ ... That he would GRANT YOU according to the riches of HIS GLORY, to be strengthened with might by HIS SPIRIT in the INNER MAN ... THAT YE MIGHT BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD."
