Good morning my darling, my sleepy head,
It’s time to get up, get out of bed.
Time to brew coffee and take your shower,
I’ve already been up for nearly an hour.
I’m warming the earth, dispersing the fog,
It’s time for you to get up, sleepy little log.
Time to wipe away tear crust and tooth muss,
Time to stretch and yawn without a fuss.
Look out your window and see the meadow,
Hope has survived all the gloomy shadows.
Seize with contentment another daybreak,
Make no mistake, half of Earth is wide awake.
Hear morning’s buzzers, horns and rings,
“Good morning, Good morning” someone sings.
Rejoice in each new turn of tomorrow,
Live each today without regret or sorrow.
Remember each day may be darkest before dawn,
But this is today, a shiny new morn.
