THOUGHTS on TEMPLE CLEANSING

My wife and I have really been doing some temple cleansing.  I never realized how many toxins I have allowed in my body, both physically and spiritually.  We have been diligently seeking God and searching our hearts and it is certain that it has not been God who has withheld His loving hand from caring for our needs and our bodies, but it has been our own actions that has built up walls of hindrance to being able to successfully over come, both physically and spiritually.  A few years back my mother said to me, “Son, that trans fat in the foods we eat will kill you.”  And I also heard someone else say “Processed food is bad for you.”  I said, I do not have the time to look at the labels nor to watch what I eat, for I am a child of the king.”  I have no doubt that I am a child of the king, but my body is also paying for my ignorance, lack of personal discipline and unwillingness to submit to the truth.  I cannot even begin to tell you how toxic over processed sermons that have been overcooked so much that there is not any more life left in them, are and what damage they do to the body.  Over and over the Lord kept saying into my spirit, to set myself aside and humble myself before Him, but I was to busy doing the works and being the minister of God to listen, almost until it was too late.  But because we are taking the time to do what He has told to do by beginning to eat healthy and watch the things that we put into our body, our health has dramatically improved and I feel more better then I have in many years.  I have more energy and can even see my toes.  My mind has become clearer and I am able to meditate and think clearer then I have for a very long time, and I am seeing a depth of the word of God that is so rich and edifying, that it has filled me with an expectation and confidence that I feel like it won’t be long until I am able to leap tall mountains in a single bound.  I wanted to share two sets of scriptures that has really inspired me to do some personal reevaluating when I really got to hearing what Paul was saying.

Brethren, my hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel are that they come into salvation.  For, I can testify that the Israelites have zeal toward God, but not according to knowledge (full discernment or recognition). They have zeal toward God, but they do not know Him, for being ignorant of God’s righteousness, they seek to establish their own righteousness and not submit themselves to the righteousness of God.  For Christ is the end (limit) of the law into righteousness to all believers.  For Moses described the righteousness of the law; the man who fulfills (does) the law, must live by them, but the righteousness which is by faith tells it this way, do not say in your heart, “who will go up to heaven for me to bring down His anointing?”  Or “who shall descend into the deep for me to bring up His anointing from the dead?  But what does the scriptures say?  The word, He is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, which is the word of faith which we preach, if you acknowledge by your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised and delivered Him from the dead.  For with the heart believe unto righteousness and with the mouth acknowledge Him unto salvation.  For the scripture says that all who believe upon Him will not be disgraced (ashamed).  (Romans 10:1-11)

He that plants and he that waters are one, but each one receives his own wages according to his own works.    For we work together for God on God’s field. You are God’s building. According to the grace of God, that He gave to me, as the wise architect (chief builder), I laid the foundation and another builds thereupon.  But let each man watch (be aware or perceive) how he builds upon it.  For no man can put down another foundation then that which has already been put down, which is Jesus Christ.  If any man builds upon the foundation gold, silver, stones, costly wood, vegetation, or stalks of grain, each man’s work will be made evident (clear), because the day will make it plain to see, because it is revealed by fire.  The fire itself will test every man’s works and reveal what kind of works they are.  If any man’s works endures (stays or remains) that he built, he receives his pay (reward or wages). If any man’s work is burned, he loses what he built, but in this way (by the fire) he is saved through the fire.  Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?  If any corrupts (destroys) the temple, he does the same to God, for God’s temple is holy, and as He is so are you.  No man deceive himself, if any supposes himself to be wise among you in this age, let him become foolish in order to become wise, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.  For it is written, He traps (snares) those who trust in the wisdom of the world in their own shrewd wisdom.  Once again, the Lord knows the thoughts (reasoning) of the wise, they are empty or they have no value.  (1 Corinthians 3:8-20)
