BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,” (Eph 1:1) (Many believe that they are already in Christ because Christ is in them.)

(Col. 1:27) “…which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”  (Hope is something that you don’t possess yet.  Christ is in you, but you have yet to come into the glory of the Christ.)

G1680, which is a primary word (to anticipate, usually with pleasure); expectation (abstract or concrete) or confidence: —faith, hope.

Is He being manifested in you, is He appearing in you? (2Th 2)  Can the world see His righteousness in you? (Ps 22:30-31) Does His seed remain in you and you go no more out? (Rev 3:12, 7:14-15)  These are compelling questions that we need to ask ourselves.  The scriptures tell us to judge ourselves to see whether we are in the faith, not to condemn, but to examine ourselves.

Over 30 years ago I considered the rapture doctrine.  I thought, “If I were taken right then, as a new Christian, into the presence of God, the darkness still in me would draw back from the light.”  At that moment God spoke audibly to me in my right ear, “Yea, and I will try you in all points of your life.”   I’ve remained in faith to His processing in my life.   Even when others said, “He said it is finished so you are finished and you don’t have to do that; that is works.”  I’ve come to know when He speaks such things, that it isn’t for one member, but applies to the whole body of Christ.  In that statement He gave a promise that when He was done there would be nothing that would draw back from His light.  I believe that He is well able to do that which He has promised.

I John 3:2-3 2…and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”

It has been said that, “it is not by works” and I would say, “Not by the works of the flesh.”  God is asking us to come into agreement with His work in us.  Abraham had to believe what God spoke to him and his works manifested his faith in God.  It was not his works, but his agreement with God’s work in his life.

(James 2:20-24, 26,) 20…that faith without works is dead? 21Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for faith.  His faith was put into action.  Faith is believing and believing is –trusting in, relying upon, and adhering to. (Amp. Bible)

God has revealed to us what was in His mind before He ever said, “In The beginning” (Gen. 1:1) (You could say it this way, “In Beginning” or “ The beginning”)

The word beginning means the first, in place, time, order or rank (specifically a firstfruit), H7225  (.

Eph. 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Col. 1:15 19 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Here beginning means a commencement, G746  (

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Eph. 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.  Foundation-means G2602   (

From G2598; a deposition, that is, founding; figuratively conception: — conceive, foundation.

Eph.1: 9-12 “…having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.”

Are you fully trusting in Him to show forth His glory that will be a praise unto Him?

1 Pe 1:3-5 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”  (Also 1 Cor 15:50-54)

1 Pe 2:9  “…But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”  (KJV shew forth G1804 to publish, that is, celebrate) (Praises means; G703– properly manliness (valor), that is, excellence (intrinsic or attribute)

To say that we are already manifesting these praises to the full measure of what was in God’s mind before He began is misleading to say the least.  If there is anything in us that isn’t in agreement with the life that He has placed within the darkness of our soul, then we are an unfinished product.   In Eph 1:4-10, 1 Pe 1:20 gives us the understanding that before God ever began He had it finished in His mind.  No master artist or builder would begin a work without first envisioning the finished product in his mind.  How much more so would God the divine creator do the same.

In Is. 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”

It has been said, “there is nothing that we can do since we were in Christ before the foundation of the world.” (I would say before the work of God was ever manifested or started.)  The work in us is not complete until we come to a full manifestation of His image. The image is still hidden within the stone when we are not in complete manifestation.  Some have gone as far as to say, “in God’s eyes He sees the finished product.”  I say this, as an artist the finished product is always in the artists’ mind while he is a only t work hammering away at the stone.  If the stone said, “stop, I’m a finished work, because I’m finished in your mind,” and if he stopped, would the image ever be manifest for everyone to see?  Don’t worry God won’t stop until He has accomplished His plan.  The seed that He has placed in you has within it every attribute that is within the Son.  Will you yield to His hand as He brings that nature forth from within you?  What if Abraham, Noah, Moses, or Joshua had not put their faith to work in what God commanded them to do?  They were blessed for faith and not unbelief.

Rom 8:17-19 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”

We need to yield and come into agreement with the handy work of God in our lives and not resist the processing.  He is bringing us out of darkness into His marvelous light.  The work is not done in us until He has put His approval (signature, name) upon us. (Rev. 2:17) “… To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it”

I John 3:10-16, 22-24 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous. 13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. 15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.  16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. 24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”

I John 1:5-10 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”

Gal 4:19 “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formedG3445 in you, “ (Formed-not external and transient, but inward & real (change of character and conduct to correspond with inward Spirit condition).

We are to come into agreement with His Spirit, not Him with ours.  He is not being reconciled to us, but we to Him.  He is bringing us into the condition of His Spirit.  Not Him coming into agreement with our condition.  What a mighty God we serve!

Roman 5:1-5 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”  The word experience, means proven character.

1 Cor 3:11-15 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”

God is not just able to forgive your sins, but He is well able to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.  To say that we are clean and clothed upon when we aren’t is to deceive ourselves.  Let us confess our sins and allow Him to cleanse us as we drink His blood (Life is in the blood) and eat His flesh.  Will you yield to the potters’ hands as He brings you to the completed work that He promised before He ever began?  Will you be in faith to this work?

1 Pe 1:7  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”

The trial by fire is to prove or put to the proof what is abiding in you.  Is it Him or an imposter?

Matt.22:10-1110 …And the wedding hall was filled with guests.  11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?”

Rev.3:4-5, 18 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments,” 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see”

Heb 2:12 “I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.”

Mal 1:6-8 6 A son honoreth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honor? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? 7 Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. 8 And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.”

Mal 2:17 “Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?”

Mal 3:1-4 “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. 2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: 3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. 4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD,”

Zech 14:20-21 20 In that day “HOLINESS TO THE LORD” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the Lords house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them. In that day there shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.”

Rev 7:14-15 14 These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple.”

My prayer is this, Lord put your laws so deep in our hearts and minds to where we never leave from before your throne (Authority) whether it be night, when all seems to be dark nor in the day, when all is going well and we forget you.  Let us do only those things that please you so that we will be to the praise of your glory.  That as Paul said, “it is not I that liveth, but Christ liveth in me.” Amen.
