BLESSINGS of the GOSPEL
BY: RAY PRINZING
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, and whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.” (Ps. 32:1-2)
Romans 15:29 speaks of “in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel.” THE BLESSING OF THE GOOD NEWS! Ah, we have been stripped of so much - but it was only the removal of the traditions of the elders, the commandments of men, the concepts of the carnal mind, the doctrines of religious Babylon, that we might be enriched and blessed with “Good News, “ the GOSPEL.
In blessing us He doth not impute iniquity to us. God sent His Son “to bless you, in turning every one of you from his iniquities.” (Acts 3:26) A process of cleansing and regeneration, making us new creatures in Christ Jesus, until all sin is not only gone, removed and forgotten, but indeed, “whosever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in Him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:9) “That we might be made (become) the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Cor. 5:21)
To be declared righteous is more than just our forgiveness or pardon, which is a recognition of guilt, but it is the pronouncement that we are now totally NEW CREATURES IN CHRIST wherein there is no sin, or ever has been, it is our complete identification IN HIS LIFE. Thus, “in whose spirit there is no guile.”
Jesus said, “the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in Me.” (John 14:30) No fault, no blemish, without spot, without guile. Because of this state of absolute purity, whenever He imparted of His Spirit, out of Himself, to another, it brought life and healing to that person. There were no traces of evil in Him which would be passed over to infect another. He could bless all men with a pure blessing. And this is the Gospel that we would declare - the receiving of His life, which turns us away from all iniquity, to become new creatures in Him. That is good news that “old things shall pass away, and all things become new in Christ!
