1 Cor 15:35-44…35] But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37] And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38] But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39] All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40] There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41] There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43] It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

There are many things about God and His plan of redemption that I do not fully understand, many things that are veiled in shrouds of darkness and shadows, which, try as I might, straining my spiritual eyes in futile attempts to pierce the cloudy atmosphere, I can only wonder at the deepness and complexity of the works of His hands. When I ponder His ways, they are past me, leaving me dumb and confounded. As Paul wrote to the Romans:

Rom 11:33-36…33] O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34] For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor? 35] Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36] For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. (KJV)

One of those things that has preoccupied my musings concerning the works of His hands is the relationship between the natural body and the spiritual body. The scriptures declare emphatically that there are both bodies. In the 5th chapter of 2nd Corinthians Paul outlines the arrangement that the two bodies have with one another.

2 Cor 5:1-4…1] For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3] If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4] For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. (KJV)

What a wondrous thing God wrought when He formed us from the dust of the new earth and mixed us into a compound of spirit and flesh! The mystical relationship between our body and spirit has always enticed me to try to plumb its depths and discover the manner in which it dwells together in this body of clay. If we truly believe all that the bible says about this mystical relationship then there are certain undeniable truths about this union that would undoubtably shock the average believer. For starters, we are not the only inhabitants of this house. God dwells with us. In all of His completeness and entirety, God has made His abode with us and fills us with Himself. Awesome isn’t it? To think that the Creator of all things has taken up His abode in us and is living with us in our fleshly body. The Ancient of Days, the great I AM, the Alpha and Omega, the Mighty God is living in each one of our bodies, sharing this space with us. Astounding! But wait, there’s more! Not only is God Himself living in our physical body, but all that lives in God must also live in our body. Now that is a tough one isn’t it? Think about it. The all in the all. All in all. I in you, you in me, we in Him. Again, a mystical, mind boggling relationship is presented to us by the scriptures. One way to examine this unique wonder is to ask a few simple questions, since you only come by answers by the asking of questions. How many things are abiding and existing in God and how many things does God abide in? Perhaps these scriptures will say it best.

Col 1:16-17…16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Eph 4:6, 10…6] One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 10] He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

Everything consists by Him and everything is filled with Him. This is a difficult thing to comprehend, but we should have already known that anything involving God would challenge our natural mind. Our mind works on a basis of data analysis, and if we ask it to think on things of which it has no data available, it will lock up on us and give us a message, “cannot compute so leave it alone and forget about it.” However, for us, the chosen of the Lord, the called out ones, we must refuse to tune out when we reach this roadblock, and we must reacquaint ourselves with these kinds of thoughts. It is imperative that we exercise our spiritual minds and allow God to speak to us on matters that concern us. How does this kind of thinking concern us? YOU ARE THE GENERATION OF THE LORD!! You are the RESTORERS OF THE PATH, the REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH, it is you that must ask the questions that will bring forth the answers for creation. Is there another body inside of us that we have not comprehended? Yes!! Is there going to be a people that will not go to the grave? Yes!! Will death cease to bring creation to the grave and is there a place in God that we can live in that is complete and whole and without a nature of sin? Yes!! Yes!! OK. How? Glad you asked. Let us consider these things in the context of this study on DNA and the House that God built.

We know, from our previous discussions on DNA and the human body that our body is made up of over 100 trillion cells and that each one of those trillions of cells contains the complete blueprint of the whole body, from which another identical body could be manufactured if so desired. This “Book Of Life” is contained in coded sequences of DNA, the physical embodiment of Jacob’s Ladder, in the form of genes, with each gene representing a specific set of instructions on building and maintaining the House of God. The genes are situated upon 23 sets of chromosomes, with each chromosome unique in structure and function.

Each cell contains enough DNA that if you were to take the strand of DNA in each cell and uncurl it and straighten it out, it would stand 6 feet tall. This DNA strand is made up of some 3 billion nucleic components, or in our case, to make it easier to understand, 3 billion “volumes” of information. Together it makes up a vast library of information, from which the cell receives instructions to build itself. The interesting thing to us about this library is that at the present time the body only “reads” about 3 percent of this library, or about 80,000 volumes. The rest of the 97% of the library are “non-working” volumes that the geneticists have labeled “junk DNA,” because it has no manifestation in our body, but it just sits in our cells, dormant and unreadable. There are many different opinions about this “junk DNA” in the scientific world as to what may be written therein and why it is now unreadable, with the evolutionists proposing that they are volumes of information that are no longer needed having become obsolete with our evolvement, and others stating that the DNA strand has built up a garbage dump of useless information through thousands of generations being birthed and the mixing of the gene pools. I myself cannot help but think back to Genesis when God cast the man and the woman out of the garden and the curse was instituted, which I believe brought about the resultant 3% readability of the Book of Life and which closed the Book on the other 97% of the DNA strand. What is written on these genetic pages, and how might God use this information during the change from mortal to immortality?

In the book of revelation, we find this interesting scripture concerning the volume of the book.

Heb 10:5-7, 9…5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first that he may establish the second.

The first thing we want to ask is what “book” is he talking about. We might all jump to say that it is obviously the Bible that he is talking about, and it certainly is one of the books that he may be referring to, however, we have ample evidence in the scriptures that there is a book in the earth that is not written on pages of paper, but on tablets of the heart.

2 Cor 3:2-3…2] Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3] Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

God declares that in this new covenant:

Heb 8:8-11…8] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. (KJV)

Again, the blessed psalmist wrote,

Ps 139:14-16…14] I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15] My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16] Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. (KJV)

I believe there to be ample proof that the Lord is declared in more than one book, as there is a book not made with hands that is just now being studied by the world and out of the “volume of the book” HE WILL COME! Glory to His holy name! He will appear in His saints, in the fleshly bodies of His people, the true habitation of the Father and from those bodies shall shine a light that will pierce every dark place of men’s hearts and lives and light will speak to light and spirit to spirit until there is a universal AMEN! from the earth that meets and kisses the AMEN from heaven. So be it! As it has been written, so let it be done!

Our lives in the flesh have been limited by the Lord to only live out of the 3% portion of our DNA strand. Somewhere in that strand there are new instructions, a law of life that far surpasses what we have experienced up to this point. Without a doubt, we are living in a new and exciting age of discovery and unveiling, with the holiest of all of the cells of our bodies giving up secrets of creation that had been hid since the beginning of time. Men have looked into the mind of God Himself, and have photographed and dissected the human genome and have been made privy to the ways of the Lord. Naturally, the men of the world, without the knowledge of the Lord, have lowered this wonder into a place of humanism and naked greed to find the cure of diseases and become rich. Some are trying to discover how to become gods of creation, delving into cloning and suggesting a future ability to “build” your own child before it is even born, weeding out the weak genes and implanting strong genes. This will only lead to genocide of the highest order, with carnal parents wanting only the brightest, healthiest and strongest child available. The weak and feeble child will be a thing of the past, and racial preferences will be promoted which can only lead to elitism and racial genocide. Dark days are ahead if this knowledge continues to be used by men and women operating out of their humanity. Throughout history men have looked for technology to give them power over others.

Every technological discovery of the past has eventually found it’s way onto the battlefield of war, and made into weapons of destruction. The explosion of genetic knowledge will be no different. Germ warfare, armies of cloned super warriors, ultimate fighting machines will find their way into the military arsenal. Make no mistake about it, even while the congress of the United States and other countries around the world make laws to prevent this technology from entering the domain of immorality and ethical disaster, the warmongers are sharpening their collective swords, lusting after this technology like a dog in heat. Since when did laws prevent the activity of outlaws? To them, laws are made to be broken, and in the final analysis the lawmakers will find themselves unable to enforce whatever laws are made. Do not be naive in thinking that our government isn’t lusting as much as anyone else. I have no doubt that America is doing her own experiments even now, giving way to the fears of the military intelligence that we must now fall behind in this deadly race for the future. Genetic warfare will make the nuclear warfare look like child’s play. All the material is at hand, easily attainable, no need for plutonium or reactors, just a few well equipped laboratories, stocked with money hungry geneticists, and you have the ability to wreak havoc on the world. If we ever needed to pray for the safety of the world, it is now.

But wait, what is this that I see? Another kind of army, a company of priests and kings, sons of the most High God, dressed in garments of light and glory, descending out of heavenly places.

Rev 14:1-7…1] And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. 2] And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3] And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4] These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5] And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. 6] And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7] Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (KJV)

Oh glorious Lord! In the midst of all this frightful chaos of war and death and violence, there arises a new thing, a people that have the nature of God written, genetically coded, written IN their foreheads. Notice the wording here and read with the understanding of the spirit, the name of God was written WITHIN their foreheads, not on the forehead. No man could learn their song, it was unreadable, even by the merchants of evil and war, but it is only accessible to those that have died to the old and have awakened and been quickened to the new. Awake Zion! Put on your beautiful garments. Don’t miss the sign given to us in this day. The abomination of desolations is upon us, the holy place is being trampled by flesh, men are invading the sacred ground of God’s creativeness, and the genetic word of God is being blasphemed in the halls of science, but look up, for you redemption draws nigh, and see the parallel before you. At the same time that men trample the purity of God’s handiwork, there is another door opening up to those that have the wedding garment on. We are feasting on the flesh of kings, and our Lord has given us a commission, to stand in the holy place until this indignation be passed over us.

There is a Book being opened up in us, deep within us, at the molecular level, that will change our mortal bodies, and will infuse us with an incorruptible nature, that will swallow up the product of the 3% of the flesh and will release the 97% of the Life and Glory of the Father. In each son, this is the process going on right now. In our mind there is a nature written, that is coming to the forefront of our walk in this life. Old heavens, old earth give way to the new heavens and new earth. First things first. New heavens first, then the new earth. The battle and the race is not won by the strength and the pedigree of the flesh, but this Day will birth true sons of God, bone of His bone, and spirit of His spirit. I don’t believe it will be done outside of this physical body, but I do believe it will rise out of our physical man like the dawning of Day upon the land. Out of our being are flowing rivers of living water, a word is being proclaimed to us, that seems to be new, but in reality it is the most ancient of words, for it speaks of things before the putting on of flesh, and it promises that as He was faithful to allow the Word to become flesh, even so, He will be faithful over His house until the flesh has become Word!! Yes, Lord, even so come!

This Day is going to challenge us like no other word from God ever has. Put your seat belts on, put all loose objects under the seat in front of you and get ready for the ride of your life! We are leaving the earth realm, and we are soaring into the heavens of God. It is here that angels fear to tread. No flesh can survive in this place, nothing that loves a lie, nothing that hurts or destroys, nothing that seeks it’s own glory, nothing that is prideful or arrogant, nothing that is despiteful and jealous, nothing that draws it’s life from darkness or death can abide here. This is reserved territory, invitation only, kept back from former ages until now, set aside for a people that God has ordained from the foundations of the world. It is for the dead in Christ, those that have been sowed in weakness, sowed in death, that have borne the image of the earthly, that know what it is to be lost and undone without God. These are the same ones that know the plan, that whatsoever is sown in death, will be quickened by life, that life comes from death, and that out of weakness comes strength and that if we have borne the image of the earthly, then that gives us guarantee that we will bear the image of the heavenly. Our loss is His gain, our death is His life, our surrender is His victory. Everything else, in our eyes, has the aroma and taste of dung.

We cannot escape this calling. It is not something that comes to us from some external source that we can shut our eyes and stick our fingers in our ears to escape it’s workings. We are done for in this Day, because it is within us, and we are inseparable from it’s dealings. The word of the Lord is like a fire shut up in our bones, imprinted upon our being, branding us with it’s message of surrender. We cannot deny it, because we would be denying ourselves. We know that we have been born for this Day, that all of our life we have been moving toward this glorious change. The word of God has spoken to us and it is undeniable and irresistible to our longing heart and has cut us off from our uncomely parts.

Heb 4:12-13…12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (KJV)

Surely, this One, WITH WHOM WE HAVE TO DO, has done more than just changed our minds, He has changed the INTENTS of our hearts. Once I intended to be something that I wanted to be, but now I have no intent at all, but I am made like unto a lump of clay laying upon the potter’s wheel, yielded and pliable under the Potter’s hands, having no idea or design about what I will eventually be, but knowing deep within my heart that whatever it is that the Father has in mind for me, it will be GLORIOUS! Oh, what an assurance this is dear hearts. To rest in His arms of love and care and to treat each trial and obstacle as something sent from the Father to further His purpose in me. If you are going to have anything to do with this One, best that you die out to your own designs and let it all go out of your consciousness.

Is there a body yet unseen within our physical body? I believe there is. Note that this new body is embodied within our physical man, but when it is fully come forth and the outer man is swallowed up and ingested into the inner man, according to 2nd Corinthians the 5th chapter, then the physical man, as we know it today, is no more. In other words, this new body we are coming into is not a PHYSICAL, FLESH AND BLOOD body. On the other hand, the body that is called “the spiritual body” in 1st Corinthians the 15th chapter is not going to be the new body either! I say this by reason of the fact that even those that have laid this physical body down and are void of this physical expression are said to be in a state of “imperfection,” that they without us would not be made perfect by reason of the laying down of the physical body. This implies, and we have further confirmation, that the spiritual body that we came into this fleshly body with was not the final state of being that God has in mind for us. If our state of being that we existed in before the foundations of the world was the body that God wanted us to have when we completed our journey, then the whole trip is quite redundant, isn’t it? On the other hand, the scriptures talk about a “new” thing being done, and a new creation being formed. Therefore, I submit to you that this new body that we are putting on is something that will create a new category of terminology for us, something that is neither flesh nor spirit, but the only term to found for it at this present time, is a GLORIOUS BODY. Indeed, it is a body of pure unadulterated GLORY.

Phil 3:21… Who shall change our vile body that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (KJV)

The Greek word used here for “vile” is “tapeinosis” which is defined in the Strong’s Concordance as “depressed (in rank or feeling).” There is a great joke here, as I am getting more and more “depressed” over my body as each year goes by and a few more pounds show up in this “vile” body! Who would have thought that the original language of the scriptures would have spelled out our feelings so well? Actually, the depressed meaning here is not emotional, but denotes a low estate, or humiliation, that our corruptible, mortal body exists in, compared to the new and GLORIOUS body that our Lord Jesus Christ fashioned for us. The point I would like to make here, is that we are having to come to terms with a new and, heretofore, unknowable substance.

Let us consider the body that Jesus appeared in after His resurrection and before His ascension. It was obviously of a nature that was not of the known parameters of the material world. He could appear and disappear, walk through locked doors, and yet the body could be touched by human hands and also walk in their midst as a man. He was even able to cook a meal over a fire and to give to Peter and some other disciples bread and fish to eat. I have heard it said that Jesus partook of the meal also, but if you read the scriptures in John 21:1-15 very carefully, there is a doubt in my mind whether Jesus actually partook of the meal or whether He doled it out to the disciples. I tend to think that He did not eat of the food, but obviously could have if there was a point to make. It seems to me that this body, in it’s pre-ascension state was a prototype of our new body, the vehicle by which God is going to manifest Himself to the world in the fullness of times. Some may ask, “then why did Jesus have to go away, seeing as this was the glorified body?” Remember, Jesus had to be both Lord and Christ, and the kingdom was not to be built upon His individual attainment, but He was our forerunner, our Pattern Son, a firstfruit of our redemption and metamorphosis into His glorious state of resurrection. There must be a corporate Son arise in the earth, a Lamb with His image emblazoned upon His saints, together forming a new expression of anointed Life.

This natural body is being eaten alive by this Life within. Our flesh is being ingested by the spirit of God, feasting upon our fruits of the flesh and transforming them into fruits of the spirit. Maybe you have heard it said, that there are thin lines that separate love from hate, genius from insanity and so on. It is also true with death and life and spirit and flesh. They are all inexorably connected, like Jacob and Esau they are always in a struggle, not because of the differences, but because they are so similar to one another. There are no stronger emotions than love and hate, each one has been known to drive men mad and rule their lives with a grand obsession. Hate will drive a man across the oceans and throughout the days of his life to be quenched. The same can be said for love. Perhaps love and hate are a lot more alike than we might have thought. The large difference is that love will do no harm, whereas hate will do no good. Love sets the heart on fire, and hate can stoke a different kind of fire in the breast of mankind. Death separates us from God, and Life separates us from our self.

How simple the ways of God are, so simple we sometimes walk right by them without seeing them. Hate is Love in a depressed state. Death is Life in a depressed state. But if either hate or death gets raised up out of that depression they will exceed their expectations, with a new kind of emotion, a new kind of love and life. Indeed, if ordinary love ingests a meal of hate, that love will burn ever brighter by reason of the change. Take Paul for an example. What made him different from all the other disciples and apostles? How is it that this man, as one born out of season, became the “chief Apostle” and exceeded even the wisdom and commitment of those that saw Jesus in the flesh and walked with Him daily? The answer is simple. Paul once hated Jesus. There is a thin line between hate and love, and this man hated with a pureness and persecuted the early church with the zeal of a spurned lover, hence when that hate filled man saw the light shine into his eyes and heard the voice of God boom upon His ears, as he traveled on the way to Damascus, to deliver a parchment that would give him full sway in bringing these blasphemers of God to death, this man’s hate arose to meet the Lord and it was converted into a new kind of love and commitment, one that would change the direction of the early church and turn the world upside down. A converted enemy is a friend to be reckoned with, for hate when turned into love brings a new dimension to the mix. So then, we can understand that darkness, the opposite of light, is nothing more than depressed light, atoms that are not vibrant and hence can not shine. When darkness is turned into light, HOW GREAT IS THAT LIGHT!!

In light of these examples, we can see that the flesh and the spirit are perhaps closer to each other than we might have thought. Even though the flesh has been typified to be our enemy until the change, once it has been converted and united with our spirit, it becomes something beautiful and God-like. The flesh of Jesus also had to be converted, since He was born of the seed, or flesh, of David, and David prophesied that his soul would not be left in hell and his flesh would not see corruption. It was this flesh that Jesus was fashioned into, and it is this flesh that Jesus glorified. Hence, it is His “flesh” that we must eat of and His “blood” that we must drink. He wrestled in the garden of Gethsemane with His flesh and came away victorious over it and surrendered to the cup that He must drink from.

When we say “flesh,” we mean the depressed part of man, which entails our body, our will, our nature, our mind, and so on. Flesh is more than just our physical body. There is more to flesh than bone and sinew, it is the lusts of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life, which is not of the Father, but of the world. 1st John 2:16.

Eph 2:15-16…15] Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: (KJV)

What a glorious scripture this is. Jesus did not wait until He shed His flesh to redeem us, but He did His redemptive work while “in the flesh” destroying the ordinances written against us in the book of our flesh and nailing them to His cross he made an open display of His complete authority over those laws of commandments and made peace in Himself of the dual nature found resident in all of His brethren. Notice that He “reconciled both unto God in one body by the cross.” We will not forever be in the sad state of affairs that we find ourselves in today, for out of twain is coming one new man. Spirit and flesh are being married and this house will be ONE, in every sense of the word.

Many things are happening and have happened, even to those in the scriptures, that makes me to wonder how it could be. How does the spirit and the body coexist and what determines the “glue” that keeps the spirit in the body? It is my belief that the spirit leaves the body when it dies. I don’t think it goes up or down or sideways, but I do believe it is released from the dwelling place of the flesh. This is a pretty common belief amongst many of us and even amongst those of the first day and second day ranks. But I am experiencing some things in this Day that are challenging my brain, and I keep getting that old message over and over again from my mind, “Sorry, cannot compute that. Insufficient data to draw from.” I do believe these experiences to be true though, and am walking by faith in many of these areas until we receive the gift of vocabulary and are able to discourse on them with confidence. As it is, I don’t have loads of confidence in my ability to explain them to you, but I have a feeling that many of you will know what I am talking about and you have probably had some similar experiences.

Over the years I have had the occasion to have a few people tell me that I appeared to them and even talked with them, when, in fact, I was not physically where they said I was. A few times, this has happened with my wife, Charlotte. A number of years ago, she was at Walmarts shopping when she looked down an aisle and she saw me standing at the end of the aisle. She backed up, feeling concerned about me being at the store and thought something might be wrong at home and maybe I had come to get her. When she looked back down the aisle I was no longer there. I was at home at this time and never left the house. A few days later, Charlotte went to California to minister and I stayed home. While at the meeting, before she was to get up to minister, Charlotte turned around in her seat and saw me standing behind her. She said I gave her an instruction from the Lord, “Don’t move out to minister until the Father says to move, then go!.” After that, she almost wasn’t able to minister by reason of the shock of seeing me. Our daughter, Michelle, while in high school, saw me at the school and searched everywhere for me, even asking the teachers to help her, as it was so real to her. I was never there in the flesh. One of the most profound experiences was when a dear brother in Christ, JW Lewis from Kentucky, was in the hospital with a growth in his chest. The doctors had planned to operate on him the next day. The night before the operation, JW said I walked into his room. He was shocked that I would drive all the way to Kentucky to see him and he related how I told him I wanted to sing to him. I sang the song that the Lord gave to me about 10 years ago, “Healing wings, give us your flight, Son of Righteousness arise, From our earth shine forth your Light, Change our minds from thoughts of death into pure life.” I then said goodbye and walked out of the room. It wasn’t long after that when JW got dressed and walked out too! He told the doctors he was healed and there wasn’t any need for the operation. He has never been back! When he called and told me about this, I was speechless. I had never left home.

There are many other things that have happened over the years, and many other testimonies that we have heard others relate concerning like events. One that sticks out in my mind concerns Bro. Earl Moore from Indianapolis, IN, a wonderful minister of the kingdom. It has been quite a few years ago that Earl lost his wife and daughter to a car accident, a devastating loss, but one that was tempered by the grace and wisdom of God by a strange but true experience. Earl related to me how his wife and daughter had left the house to go somewhere, and were running a little late. Earl was trying to get them to hurry and not be late for their appointment and hurried them out the door, not knowing the fateful event that was waiting for them. After they left, Earl went back to work in the office and a little time passed when he heard the door open to the house. He came out to see who it was and was exasperated to see his daughter there. He fussed at her to hurry and not be late, and his daughter told him she thought he would like to say goodbye. Earl smiled and said of course, told her he loved her and said for her to be on her way. Just a few minutes after she left, there was another knock on the door. This time it was a State Highway Patrol man. He informed Earl that his wife and daughter had a fatal car accident about 20 minutes ago, just a half mile from home. Earl told him he was mistaken, because his daughter had just left the house not more than 3 minutes ago. It turned out that both died immediately on impact. But, in the tender mercies of God’s love, He saw fit to give Earl a reassuring visitation from his daughter, letting him know that this was no accident, but the design of the Lord.

How do we come to grips with these things? We must leave the banks of the river of our earthly experiences and get ready to venture out upon the waters where God lives and breathes. When heaven invades earth in this manner, and things appear in earth that have no point of reference to them in the natural, then we must elevate ourselves into the heavens of God and allow Him the opportunity to show us “angels ascending and descending upon the Son of man.” I suspect the reason why these things are so hard for our mind to accept is the old religious way of thinking heaven is up and hell is down and earth is in the middle. We have been told that there are barriers that keep heavenly things in heaven and earthly things in earth until some glad day over yonder.

Andrew Jukes, one of the great writers from the 19th century, author of “The Restitution Of All Things” and other esteemed literary works concerning the restoration of all men back into Christ, says this about this subject, while writing on the 12 Verily’s of Jesus, and speaking expressly here about the first “Amen, Amen” spoken to Nathaniel by Jesus, Verily, Verily, I say unto you, Henceforward ye shall see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.

Begin Quote“Which words imply that heaven, man’s proper home, long shut, shall now be opened, and that all that man has lost shall be restored in and through his heir, that is, the ‘Son of Man.’ This the first ‘Verily, Verily’ declares the proper Home of the New Man. Heaven is his home: heaven again is opened to him. The old man by disobedience lost this home, the paradise in which as God’s son he could converse with and see God; and is shut out and shut up in bondage in outward nature, because, having lost God’s life, he is unfit for heaven…

“But the blessed fact that heaven is henceforth opened to man, – that he shall again see that world of light and love, for which he was formed, and from which he has so long been banished, – that he shall be made a new creature, fit to deal with spiritual things, not only man, but ‘Son of Man’, begotten again to a lively hope by Jesus Christ, – and that in his way back to his true home he shall be conscious of heavenly companions, angels of God, ascending and descending on him…

“Now this promise of Christ refers to that which had in vision been revealed of old, when at Bethel Jacob saw a ladder linking heaven with earth, with angels of God ascending and descending on it, and the Lord Himself above, saying to weary man, ‘Behold, I am with you’; forcing Jacob to say, ‘The Lord is in this place, and I knew it not: this is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.’ All this is here revealed, not in vision, but as a present fact, to which, even if we see it not, this first reiterated Amen of the True Witness bears sure testimony, declaring that communion with the unseen world is again restored to man in Christ, that heaven so long shut is henceforth open to him, because our nature is none other than the house of God, and even this flesh has become, through grace, the gate of heaven; yea, that the Lord Himself is in this place, even though we knew it not, but have lain down to sleep, like Jacob, with stones for pillows, as if there was not present God. Christ’s flesh is the ladder joining heaven and earth. And in making this revelation, this first ‘Verily, Verily,’ further declares man’s proper name, lost in Adam, but restored again in Christ Jesus, that he is not ‘seed of the woman’ only, great as are the glories which gather round this name, but ‘Son of Man,’ heir of undivided man, before any separation of any kind had entered in….

“I almost fear to speak of what is opened here. Yet the Gospels declare these things; and, as a stage of Christ’s life, they must, sooner or later, be a stage of our experience, if to us to live is Christ. For He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. If therefore He lives in us, we must, like Him, be begotten of the Holy Ghost; and then, like Him, be men of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. If He lives in us, men will esteem us stricken and smitten of God: we must, if like Him, be numbered among the transgressors. But there are other things which come with this experience, and among them is this foretaste of the glory, which is to be revealed in us; that as we pray, with some of those who love us most, the appearance of our countenance shall change, and heavenly companions be seen communing with us, speaking of the Exodus which we must accomplish, from that city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified, when through the strait and narrow gate of death we shall go out for ever from the house of bondage. Surely it is a wondrous scene, that man, while yet on earth, and still clothed with the body of humiliation, should in spirit hold direct and conscious communion with the saints of ages past who are within the veil. Yet this too is part of the promise…

But does heaven thus open to believers now? Is it granted to Christians at this day to have the secrets of the spirit-world revealed in vision to them? Again I answer, what is heaven? Is it not the world of light, unseen by sense, that spiritual sphere into which man is brought in Christ, as partaker of His resurrection; where things are perceived which flesh and blood can never see, and joys are tasted which are not of this world? So long indeed as we are dead in sins, the things which occupy us most are the objects which the outward senses see, or hear, or taste, or handle… But whenever the things of God, once unconsidered, occupy our hearts, – when sin righteousness, and judgment, are daily before our eyes, – when we see Jesus interceding for us, – still more when Holy Scripture is unveiled, so that in the law, the prophets, and the gospels, we see wonders touching Christ and His kingdom, which never dawned on us before, – then heaven is truly opening to us, even if at the time we know it not.

“And the proof is this, that all those truths, which opened to Christ, or to Peter or John, in the visions which we have considered, when heaven opened to them, – whether it be the witness that we are sons, or the assurance that God is now well pleased, or the consciousness that departed saints are very near us, or the truth that no man henceforth is common or unclean, or that the risen Lord is walking in our midst as the Priest amid the seven candlesticks, – all these truths will now be matters respecting which we too can say, not only that we believe, but see them ourselves, though they are not of this world, but of heaven. Where these are seen, heaven is opened. There may yet be clouds, – there will be clouds, – and we may fear as we and others enter through them, but, in spite of our fears, the cloud itself is but the gate of heaven, and angel hosts are all around.

“For whenever man’s true home is opened, the servants of that home also are seen, even the ‘angels who ascend and descend upon the Son of Man’; ever near, though unseen by sense, ministering to man’s wants, or directing his steps, or barring his way, if he turns aside from God; never waiting to be thanked, content, either in ascending or descending, to honor God or succor man; and therefore excelling in strength, because they do His will.” End Quote.

Andrew Jukes wrote these words and published them on November 1st, 1881. A witness from the past, a voice of confirmation. What must we do to prepare for these things? Yield. Allow God to be God. All heaven is in our house. Cast out all fear, open your eyes, look at things as they are, instead of how we expect them to be. We must follow Jesus every step of the way, from the cross to the heavens, and we must be prepared to have our earth shook and our heavens disrupted, for the Lord is raising up out of His holy habitation and He is renting the veil of flesh that has hid His glory. Stand fast and still, for the ground whereupon you stand is holy.
