IN REMEMBRANCE of LENNY
9/1/28 – 7/15/13

Robert Karl Lennart (Lenny) Antonsson was born in Chicago, IL, on Sept. 1, 1928, to Swedish immigrants, Charles and Inez Antonson. The family went back to Sweden when Lenny was small because his father was injured in a vehicle accident. Lenny got his education in Sweden. His mother put him on a ship bound for America when he was 17 because she thought he’d have a better life here. I’m so happy she did that, but it was the brave, difficult thing for her to do.
Lenny is survived by his wife Jan Austin Antonsson, his son Jeffrey Antonsson, his daughter Kristin Dalrymple, son-in-law Ken Dalrymple, and their three children, Harrison, Hannah, and Leah Dalrymple.
Lenny was a man after God’s own heart who loved deeply, generously, and unconditionally. He was a mystic who saw God in everyone and everything, regardless of how they looked or behaved. His inner peace came from knowing that God is in control of all things all the time.
God called us to Neosho, MO, in May of 1998, for Lenny to be a witness for God’s light and power and unconditional love to a group of men in a local Baptist Sunday School Class.
Our writings about God’s love for everyone are published on our website, “The Glory Road,” and now this blog. Lenny was the steady anchor in our marriage who never worried or fretted about what we didn’t have, but always rejoiced in what we did have. He loved Father God above all and his family and our dear, dear friends who have been with us for so long.
He believed he would never die, and his physical passing is but a graduation to a higher realm of spirit, where he is now a part of our “cloud of witnesses,” pulling for us from the other side. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
