[Capitalized words were spoken by the Christ within.]

Do you ever wonder how evil came to be?  When you consider the fact that God is Perfect Love and the Creator of all things, He alone is God – from whence did evil come?

Now this fact has to be reconciled with the goodness, holiness and wisdom of God.  This entity [known as Satan and revealed as the carnal nature of mankind] was dormant in the soul of humanity from the beginning.  Satan had no strength until – through the temptation in his soul – Adam chose to give life to evil.  The life of carnality is bound to death and dependent upon the souls of mortals for its existence.

The dust is the stuff of the earth and all that fills it.  It came out of God and from it He formed the soul of man.  Man had not the covering of skin and the life of blood until he fell short of the glory of God.  (I strongly suggest that you read the account of creation with an open mind and a heart that is directed by the Spirit of the Almighty; Genesis 1-3.)  Within the dust are all of the attributes of God, but apart from His Spirit they are devoid of Life.  This is the reason that He inspired man with His Breath, which is, of course, His Spirit.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness…”  (Genesis 1 26)  The spoken word was the Energy of God presented for the formation of mankind.  “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”  (Genesis 1:27)  Man was created of the dust – the same substance from which all things came.  “The LORD formed the man from the dust of the ground.”  This substance was debased – empty of God’s Spirit.  “The earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”  (Genesis 1:2)  Then God did an astonishing thing:  “…and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the man became a living soul.”  (Genesis 2:7)

So mankind was created of the substance of God [in His likeness] but in another form [minus His Spirit].  However, because God inspired him with His Life, man’s appearance was that of light – God’s glory.

Humankind [Enchristed man; cherub of God] is the crown of God’s creation, fashioned of His substance and in His likeness, “…the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.”  This is the form of humanity who lived in the Eden of God.  He, who at the dawn of creation was clothed in the glory of Christ,  “…was blameless in all his ways from the day of his creation until wickedness was found in him.”

It is the nature of all things to have an opposite, or reverse side.  This is true of every living thing, every thought, every idea, and every attitude.  It is true of God; it is true of humanity.  Carnality is the reverse of God.  Before wickedness was revealed in humankind, the carnal nature was engaged in commerce [intercourse; interposition] with his soul.  The attributes of God are indigenous to the soul of man, and the perverted form of these traits began to call out within his soul.  The whisperings of base attitudes and desires so influenced the thoughts, will and emotions of created man that he was weakened, and consequently brought to the low estate of separation from the Spirit of God.  By this time the soul and the spirit of man had been separated in the bringing forth from Adam his helpmeet, the wife, who was called Eve but must be recognized as the soul of mankind.  This facet of the human species was overtaken by the covert desires of the lower nature, and because this area is the seat of the mind, will and emotions was able to influence the human form to partake of knowledge without the Seed of Life [the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.]

Even though in his beginning man [the first Adam] was created in the likeness of God, when the carnal influence won over his soul man became an image of the father of lies rather than the exact representation of Christ.  “How you have fallen from heaven O morning star, son of the dawn!”  Early on God had warned man that if he partook of knowledge that has no life, he would surely die.  Eve [the soul] was present when God so warned Adam.  It was not until the soul [Eve] was brought out, away from the Life inspired into Adam that temptation (which had been there all along in the presence of the tree of knowledge) could not be resisted.  So the soul was grievously tempted, and succumbed to the carnal desires of the lower nature.  And the species of man died.  He suffered the death of Life in the Spirit of Christ.  And Adam and Eve were banished from Paradise“Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence and you sinned.  (Ezekiel 28:16)  “You have been cast down to the earth, you who laid low the nations.”  (Isaiah 14:12)

Here is what the Spirit has revealed concerning the trees in the Garden:  The Tree of Life is the Spirit of God, present for eternal life and knowledge in the wisdom of God.  It is a tree with seed to bring forth fruit – the independent life of Christ.  (See Genesis 1:29, also, John 5:20, “The Father has life unto himself, so he has granted the Son life unto himself.“)  The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is the carnal nature and has no seed.  (See Genesis 2:16, 17)  It lacks independent life and cannot reproduce but it spreads like mold or mildew – under cover of darkness.  The knowledge gained from this entity has not wisdom, only logic, which satisfies the soulish area separated from the Spirit.

Through his trafficking with carnality humankind became impressed with his beauty and proud because of his splendor; his wisdom became corrupted and he said in his heart:  “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.  I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”  (Isaiah 14:13, 14)  Man sold out for a lie and was cast out of the heavenly realm for lack of Life.  Fire and a sword barred the way of return from him.

“How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn!…”  (Isaiah 14:12)

God clothed mankind with flesh, for they were naked and shamed in their loss of glory.  He supplied them with blood for they were empty, void of the Life that had sustained them.  They had become as the beasts of the field, (“the life of the soul is in the blood”) but with the knowledge of good and evil.  God said: “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.  He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat and live forever”.  So the LORD banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.  (Genesis 3:22, 23)

After the residents of Paradise fell from glory, God spoke to the entity of evil [which then had life, not of his own but life supplied by the now mortal man] saying: “You will crawl on your belly and you will eat the dust all the days of your life.”  The carnal nature (Satan) must feed on the soul of humanity to survive. “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

It was given to her to know that her children would be in danger from the one who had overtaken her.  It became the lot of woman to bring forth children in suffering but with desire remaining for her husband, whose issue her offspring must be.  ”I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children.”

Man’s designated assignment was that of tiller of the ground – the dust of his origin – to be done in hardship and sorrow. “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘you must not eat of it,’  “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.  It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.  By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken, for dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Selected verses from Geneses 3:14-19)

From that time forward mankind has been plagued by sorrow but the work designed by God as the purpose of man’s earth walk began.

“For creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.”  (Romans 8:20, 21)

“For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.”  (Romans 11:32)

The Lord God cursed the downfall of man and decreed that his walk apart from Him would be to no purpose.  He ordered that the function of man’s carnal nature would depend entirely upon man’s willingness to sustain it.  God’s curse was solely against the evil intent that had hissed at Eve and persuaded her into its trap.  But He further pronounced that provision for mankind would come from the soil [dust], which would yield to fallen man only what was present in the absence of the Spirit of God.  However, hope was presented in His dictum to the woman and the man, for all the structural components for righteousness are within the soul [dust].  When each individual soul is again joined to her predestined mate [man’s spirit recreated] they will bring forth the child of the Spirit who will find entry once more to Paradise.

The dilemma that befell the human race was not one of mere happenstance but was the design of God’s purpose.  It was to bring about the only way that all creation could be made forever free of the carnal intent of the reverse side of TRUE LIFE.  It is man’s willingness to submit that the Lord God craves.  Of course He could have created man without the possibility of disobedience, but what kind of love would that have been in man?

God created His family in Christ as part of the only Begotten Son of the Father before the foundation of the universe.  He chose to allow man to overcome the aberration in the nature apart from God by bringing it to death through obedient submission in love for Him.

The trek that stretched out before Adam and Eve was one of incomprehensible suffering and strife.  But God could not rescue them immediately, for that would have nullified His intent.  However, He did not then hold mankind accountable for their iniquity but allowed them to reap from the field in which they sowed, and it was one of darkness.

We have already discussed ways that God revealed Himself to the human race and how he began to prepare them for the Savior as He drew out a people for His name.   The law given by Moses held the place for the entrance of Jesus, the Second Adam.  He is the exact representation of the Father, born to bring the offspring of God full circle back to Him, free of carnality.   It is by Him that mankind will accomplish what he has attempted to do in his flesh.  Christ will enable man to succeed in the realm of the everlasting and unseen and therefore, in the natural.  THE EARTH WILL YIELD ITS FRUIT!

The struggle to survive became severe as mankind began to move under the pronouncement spoken by God, recorded in Genesis 3:22, “And the LORD God said, ‘The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.  He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever.’”  Created man now stood under the burden resulting from disobedience.

Within the soul is the nucleus for new life but without the seed of the recreated spirit it cannot reproduce.  Therefore, spiritual children could not increase in number to fill the earth unto the appearing of the image of the Second Adam (who was then yet to come).  Instead of the earth being subdued by the Power of the Word it became a shambles because the prince-of-the-power-of-the-air [satanic will of carnality] not only ruled the hearts of mankind but also polluted the earth and the fullness thereof.  The fallen nature has used unmerited strength as a deceitful ploy to keep humanity under its control.

Early on within the atmosphere of the earth there began to form the offspring of the one who rules in the air that surrounds mankind.  The spiritual energy generated by the wickedness in the hearts of fallen men and women became great enough to move from heart to heart, from tribe to tribe and nation to nation.  Instead of children of the Spirit of God coming forth there were the unseen children of darkness (demonic influences).  The mind, will and appetites of the soulish area in humanity listened to the sense realm, which is influenced by the hissing voice that had caused mankind’s downfall.

Although God has continued to move on behalf of humankind, fallen man seldom hears His voice.  When He found the one to whom He could speak the law, the symbol of the way to rescue the human race began to be formed in earth.  The law had no life but its purpose was to hold the place for the entrance of the Messiah who would fulfill that law and make a new covenant with God’s people.

With the law entered not only guilt and fear but also maneuvering to keep the letter of the law but not the spirit of it.  A drawn-out people struggled to leave evil behind and to be good.  They wanted to agree with the God of Abraham but except for a few, they actually attached to imaginations, doubts, fears, rules and rhetoric.  Even though the God they worshipped was Life, because their spirits were moribund their religion was bound to death.

We are viewing the unseen realm of the soul: the soul without an able mate, for her intended mate remained in the garden of their beginnings.  The weary soul has coexisted with the lifeless entity along side her (the emasculated spirit).  The codes and rules of this relationship were prescribed by God to hold man’s allegiance to His plan but in the physical realm they are tarnished by the carnal influence.  The sense realm is the image that has appeared in place of the spirit.   Everything that the sensory impulses of desire bring to the soul are linked to death.  Religion is of that realm.  The soul, trained only in the principles of the fallen world, cannot raise the spirit.  Christ enters recreating the Spirit – the realm of life.

God gained the attention of a set-apart remnant through His mighty acts but greater intervention was sorely needed.

The satanic influence has dominated the world because dominion was transferred from the hands of the spiritual man into the hands of the carnal nature.  It has been fair game for this devil to plague mankind in all that he does to influence, provoke and to live off of human flesh.  When the edict of God was pronounced in the garden it reached much farther than the physical condition of man and woman.

Because it was decreed that the spirit [husband] would rule over the soul [woman], she continues to look for her leader.  The moribund flesh cannot cause the dust [soul; feminine aspect of humanity, not gender] to produce because it has no life-giving seed to plant there.  Furthermore, the soul feeds the serpent [satanic influence], sustaining the life form that is at the same time the curse, thus, preventing spiritual life.  This scenario is played out in every unregenerate man and woman.  Until the Christ Spirit is recreated in the human breast it is left to the feminine aspect of each person to make the life-style decisions for the individual.  Unredeemed souls are influenced by the sense realm, which is trained by the carnal world.

A person is prepared for living in his human form within the nucleus of his soul.  He is born with certain traits, equipped with the five senses and endowed with the favor of gifts and/or talents.  He will choose between two directors; one will propel him toward eternal life, the other, separation from God.  The choice is individual.

The world has become quite familiar with the ramifications of choices separate from God.  Men and women, boys and girls have remained needy because they have denied the strength of a HUSBAND.

“…remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.  For your Maker is your husband – the LORD Almighty is his name – the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.  (Isaiah 54:4, 5)

The human race suffers from moral inaptitude.  There is no inherent ability in mankind to be good.  No one possesses the “genes of goodness” to pass on to his offspring.  Obedience to laws and rules can only be exampled in parents and taught to their children.  They may learn to conform to rules and be trained in obedience, but virtue cannot be taught.  Only submission through Christ to God’s righteousness will bring an aptitude for goodness.

The race of man without Christ is lacking proper direction for their souls.  The quality of life that God has deigned to give to man escapes the concept held by the finite mind of the world.  The soul was not created to be a leader but to be the prolific reproducer of the offspring of the Seed of Christ.  This feminine aspect of mankind does not have the innate ability to rule so she has, by necessity, looked to another source for direction.  Because the designated mate of the soul lost his life early she has depended upon the senses that rose up in his absence.   The senses are the faculties of sensation that are a means of providing physical gratification and pleasure.  Hence, the soul became a “pleasure seeker” for the flesh.

God designed the sensory impulses of man for the purpose of protection and an influence for good in man’s earth-walk.   But the devil that stole the dominion of all creation from humankind is also the one who warps the mind, will and emotions of the race of man.  When this area is tempted by the sensual cravings of the human body it is easily understood why one who has not a credible leader falls prey to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life.

It is not acts of iniquity that separate man from God; rather it is because carnal man is separated from God that iniquities occur.

“For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.”  (Romans 5:14)

When God poured out Himself for the creation of all things His substance separated from His holy righteousness and became an obliquity – diametrically opposite from God’s character.  The first thing that God did was to separate the light from the darkness.  From the chaos on the face of the deep He formed all things while the Spirit of God hovered.  Into man He inspired the Breath of Life, thus making Life available to his soul where the nature of the obliquity was hidden.  Man was inspired with the Spirit of God (which was lacking in the rest of creation).  He was given the right to walk in God’s glory and the authority to rule over creation by the power of the Word.  Although the rest of creation lacked the Life that God had given to man, all things were good because evil had not yet been found in mankind.

Of course, we know that man was tempted by the carnal nature that was hidden within.  When he succumbed to that evil intent he became a slave to perverted desires for he was then absent from God.  He became like the beasts of the field, birds of the air, creeping and crawling things, creatures of the sea, and all living things.  His life now was the one common to the animal kingdom – dependant upon his blood.

Now, prayerfully read the words of Paul, from Romans 8, verses 20 and 21: “…the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.”

[Note:  God’s hope is different from the hope which mankind employs.  God’s hope is based upon what He knows, and He is omniscient.  For Him, what he hopes for is a fact.]

Mankind was subjected to the frustration of separation from God and to the iniquity which followed, not by his own choice but because it was God’s will for man at that time.  He subjected man to this turmoil in hope, for all creation will know freedom forever from the darkness which was from the beginning upon the face of the deep.  Christ Jesus appeared for the precise purpose of opening the way to righteousness and providing the opportunity for mankind to choose the perfect purpose of God’s will for His family.  It is through righteousness that the curse will be  reversed, and righteousness comes by LOVE.

Humanity’s separation and return to God was in His plan from the beginning.  All that is separated from Him will be joined to Him through the transformation of the new form that walks – the overcoming man.  All that is a reflection of God will become as He is – no longer reversed as we know all reflections to be.  Mankind will be in the form of the substance of the Father – God’s image in the Son, the family of God.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away…  He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.”  (Revelation 21:4-7)

Whenever we compare ourselves with those who do not know Christ, we deceive ourselves into believing that we are better than they.  When we compare ourselves with others of our kind, the standard is much too low.  The only standard in the world is flesh.  The only standard for the redeemed is Jesus, crucified and resurrected for the church age; ascended for the Kingdom Reign.  The world must be shown the Standard of the Ascended Christ manifested in the called-out ones for He came to save the world.

An elixir is considered to be a remedy for all ailments and to prolong life; a panacea.  It is an element that turns base metals to gold – the quintessence of the bride of the recreated spirit.

The Lord does not want us to continue to correct errors in our lives by a mere act of the will.  The only acceptable correction is to draw closer into Him through total surrender and obedience to His perfect will and purpose.  The commands of the law speak to man’s will on the level of the carnal nature.  He is speaking now to those with a pure heart.  LOVE will make the changes.  Not love as human beings love one another but the Love that God alone supplies.  He will use this Love to draw the world to Him through His surrendered vessels.
