MY FATHER’S PLANT
BY: FRED PRUITT
All the time the seed stays in the ground and nothing seems to be happening, is exactly the amount of time needed and determined to bring the plant to its proper fruition. The seed is forgotten about, and springs up precisely on the right day as a surprise. From there the plant grows exactly according to the life of the seed and produces exactly its proper fruit in its proper season. This is a process, which is certain, because it is the plant, which my Father planted, Christ is the seed, and I am the branch that grows and produces fruit.
In any case, every day is precisely the Father’s perfect day, the seed is germinating invisible life under the ground, and all things are proper in their cycles.
