NOVEMBER 19, 2006

When you hear something ‘new’, ask yourself first, ‘Are my own concepts really older? What did the apostles really believe?’ Everyone must make their calling and election sure (2 Pet 1:10). Consider this before you say, ‘What strange new doctrine is this?’ (Acts 17:20)

I had wanted to write on the New Age concepts in the church. But others have much more insight about it than I do, so I’ve attached a chart from

We focus instead on the ‘kingdom of God within you’.

Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Mat 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mar 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Mar 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Luke 9:2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Mat 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not

Mar 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Mar 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

What was this kingdom gospel that Jesus preached? He had not yet been crucified. He had not yet shed His blood. What was He preaching about then? What were the disciples preaching about? Jesus had not been crucified, yet they preached remission of sins in His name.  Jesus was preaching about God’s rule. He was and is the embodiment of God’s rule. He is God in the flesh.

Elizabeth called Him, ‘My Lord’ when He was still in Mary’s womb. He was God right from conception, not just at the baptism (His anointing for service). Luke 1:43.

God’s rule began to be preached at the end of the rule of the law and the prophets. John the Baptist first preached about this kingdom (Matt 3:2). God’s kingdom had come. Jesus IS The Kingdom of God.

Matthew mostly called it the kingdom of heaven. Mark and Luke called it the kingdom of God. It’s not a place you go to; but a person who lives in you as a present reality. It forecasts God method of rule in the millennial age.

Israel, in Jesus day, knew about the kingdom of God. They were looking for the millennium with the Messiah ruling. Jesus came to tell them that He was that very Life of the millennium that they longed for. Right here, right now.

They sought for physical rule, He asked for spiritual reign.

I, Jesus, am the Kingdom of God. I am the Rule of God. Go not there. Go not here. Don’t look inside yourself. Look at me; I am right in front of you. Why are you looking for something else?

The kingdom of God is within you. The greek word for ‘within’ is entos. It means ‘in the midst of you’.

You’re looking at Me right here. It’s right here among you now. You don’t need to observe for anything else. Don’t look around. Look at Me. I’m here!

There are some who say everything Jesus said pre-cross is not essential. This is a grave mistake. He must needs give us the message before hand and afterwards give us the means to fulfil it! Such is the wonderful grace of God.

Christ in you is the hope of glory. Col 1:27

Since we’ve received of His Spirit, the anointing is within us. But we are NOT THE CHRIST. His Spirit in our spirit is ‘the Hope’ of something better. It is the limitation of His Spirit to ours that is ‘the hope’. The Holy Spirit has no limitation.

‘The glory’ (the fulfillment of that hope) is His Spirit filling every single part of us (spirit, soul and body) and transforming us like unto Him.

The New Agers search for ‘a God within’, ‘a Christ within’. They look for that part of self with the bright spark. They think that repentance just means ‘to change the mind’. A mental assent: ‘I am christ’. They know not that Godly sorrow worketh repentance (2 Cor 7:10). To repent means, ‘I am sorry, I will change course’ (Luke 17:4, Luke 15:10, Acts 8:22). They think that by saying it several times they will become what they say. They look inside themselves. They forget that Jesus directed His prayers upwards to the Father in heaven -John17:1. It is an attempt to patch up broken cisterns that can hold no water -Jer 2:13. They have hewed out their own reality; a reality that is not God’s own.

Sadly some of God’s people have fallen into this as well. Nevertheless, to their own Master each one standeth or falleth. God is able to hold all up to Himself (Rom 14:4). But Christ came to bring sinners to repentance, not those who would call themselves righteous (Matt 9:13).

But sufficient are the times of error. Our Lord arises, as one out of sleep (Ps 78:65). He is thoroughly cleansing His floor and the slain of the Lord shall be many.

May we heed the judgment of the nation of Israel. For God destroyed (rendered useless -apollumi) their soul (their religious institutions, their ceremonies, their life) and body (their physical representation, their nation) in hell (gehenna) by the hands of the Roman judges in AD 70. (Matt 10:28)

Let us therefore bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. For the unquenchable fire must completely burn the chaff. None can stay His hand (Dan 4:35).

NOVEMBER 20, 2006

Some thought that what I wrote on Sunday was a scathing attack on the church.

I do not ‘scathe’. Those who know me know I cannot ‘scathe’! For it is with a heavy heart I write these words.  I would direct all hearts to the Judge of the whole earth; He gives those who become willing (being energized by Him), the linen made white in the blood of the Lamb (Rev 7:14).

God’s people had asked for a healing wind (many wrote about this several months ago, around June/July), but He says a restoring wind must come first. S/he who can receive this wind, must receive it to be healed. God’s Word will not fall to the ground.

For we pray we do not settle on our lees (Zeph 1:12); we will not be lulled into a ‘superiority complex’, encouraging ourselves that we are better than that man in the gutter (Luke 18:10-14).

May we listen to the Spirit’s voice through my faltering words, even though they appear harsh. May we live in His Kingdom; may we know His very life; may we walk His very pathway.

For the pathway to Life is narrow. There are few that find this pathway (Matt 7:13-14); for it is a lonely (i.e. one-to-one with the Father, not an isolated one) road.

All who trudge through the road to destruction (greek: apoleia – ruin or loss), must eventually return and walk this path of Life; for Christ will draw all men unto Him (John 12:32). And the manner of ‘His drawing’ has not and will not change. None can escape His love.

We are encouraged that our Father is always ready to embrace us; always ready to celebrate our return; always ready to place His ring of approval even after our judgment – For He, and He alone, has made us worthy. Not we ourselves.

We, on the other hand, are not always ready to do so with others. But He is changing all that!

So why write, ‘New Ageing’ and then talk on the ‘Kingdom of God’? Confused?

Because: It’s the problem of the two trees, a very subtle problem.

Why ‘New Ageing’? (My made-up phrase!)

Because it’s supposedly ‘new thinking’; but it’s really as old as Eden.

It’s the slitherer whispering once again, ‘Ye shall be like gods’… ‘This is the way to enlightenment…’ [Spiritual meaning]; ‘This is the way to control & contain people…’ [Soulish-mind meaning].

It’s the difference between ‘wanting to be god’ and ‘allowing God to be God in you’. This is the tree of knowledge in contrast to the tree of Life.

Tree 1: An entrance to knowledge without Father’s life.

Tree 2: An entrance into Father’s life before obtaining His knowledge.

Torn between these two trees is the church. With no power, we have turned to the direction of Caesar for help.  Know that the management styles of Caesar must remain in the house of Caesar (and we will give back to Caesar what belongs to him). But, we are not called to use Caesar’s way in the household of God. God has His own way! It is the way of the Holy Spirit.

For, we dare not use rules and systems of this world. Our Ruler & Systems Administrator is from another world. Let us therefore serve His people with His ways and methods: The way of heaven and the rule of life.

May we search and see. Many who are unsure of what I write, know what their hearts tell them.  Fear not! This is not false doctrine. When we keep on searching, we will see.

May we earnestly contend for ‘The Faith’ that the apostles and saints through the ages (and even today) have had to die for.

God’s people must now be restored to receive Him at His coming. For it is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom.

Stay blessed in Him.
