The idea of God saving every person from sin, death and hell is not a new one. In fact, MOST early believers carried this message in their hearts and words. They carried the Original Gospel that was to be proclaimed to all mankind. This True Gospel message is not lost- one only needs the EYES to see it in God’s written word. The Scriptures are ALIVE with God proclaiming that He will do all that He desires and that He desires to save EVERY man created in His Image. It seems that SCALES are covering many believers eyes that they can not see God’s higher glory and power in Christ Jesus. He was sent to save ALL sinners. The question is – will He fail? Can Perfect Love fail? Can God’s will be thwarted by the devil? Will Jesus Christ DESTROY the works of the devil or not? Many have trouble believing this higher Glory and Truth. They have been deceived by carnal traditions and vain imaginings of misguided men from years gone by. But the Light of Truth can not be hidden and will break through our deception, ignorance and pride.

The Light I see in Scripture is so bright that I can’t help telling the world about it! I see God’s love, purpose and glory that had been hidden from man, but has now been revealed in Jesus Christ! First, consider the Promise that was given to us.

GE 12:2-3 2] “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3] I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

GE 22:18 “and through your seed all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”

PS 22:27 “All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him…”

PS 119:41 May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise;

EPH 3:6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

ACT3:20 and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you even Jesus. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through His holy prophets.

The promise was made long ago to Abraham a “type” of the coming Christ. The spiritual reality is that God’s Seed is Christ that is to bless ALL the families of the earth, restore EVERYTHING and undo the works of the devil. This Good News is again proclaimed with the birth of Jesus by the angel in Luke

LK 2:10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11] Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

The Time had come! Here is news of GREAT JOY for ALL people! The Messiah has been sent by God the Father to remove our sin and save the world!

JN 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

Jesus speaks of what He will do – the mission, plan and promise of God that can NOT fail.

JN 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

JN 12:30 Jesus said, “This voice was for your benefit, not mine. 31] Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. 32] But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.”

LK 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Let no man TRY and separate Jesus’ words from the Father’s nor Jesus’ heart from the Father’s! They are ONE! Jesus forgave them and ALL of US! The Father, through Jesus Christ has forgiven the world. Further, Jesus the Christ will draw ALL men to Himself with the love of God.

2COR 5:18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19] that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them.

HEB 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

Jesus Christ died for everyone. He paid in full for everyone. Do you suppose that God does anything in vain? Can Christ fail in retrieving every lost one from death? Does He ever give up on that one lost sheep? No, in fact, Christ is to fill EVERY man and ALL of creation so that ALL THINGS are brought back to God in loving submission to His will.

COL 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16] For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17] He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18] And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19] For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20] and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

1CO 15:20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21] For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22] For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23] But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24] Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25] For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26] The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27] For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28] When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

ALL creation including God’s Son, Christ is subdued by God’s love. When Christ has won everything and everybody back to God, then Jesus Christ hands over the Kingdom to the Father. This is so clear here! We must see and believe that ALL came from God through Christ and ALL returns to God through Christ. You know – “what comes around goes around?” God is expressing Himself in Jesus Christ, and then He penetrates and shines through us and all of His creation! ALL will praise God, our Father!

PHP 2:9-11 9] Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10] that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11] and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This wonderful scene isn’t just those in heaven. This is those in heaven and on earth or even under the earth! This is worship and praise to God and to His Glory! Some may say that God is forcing those unrepented souls to confess. First, this confession is done to God’s glory. Do you suppose that an ALL-POWERFUL GOD FORCING billions of pitiful, sinful souls to confess is a glorious feat? Some say that God can force them to do this, but COULDN’T force them to salvation and from the bondage of sin and death! Nonsense! This is an evil distortion of the glorious truth! Second, the ONLY way that anyone can “confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,” is by having been born of God in the first place!

1 COR 12:1 Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. 2] You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3] Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

So this is certainly not a “forced confession,” but God has won over ALL by His unfailing Love in Christ! Yes, all that God created in His image and likeness will become just that – an expression of God. All will proclaim that Jesus is Lord by the One Spirit of God. Finally, the word of God offers Scripture from John and Paul that seems to be ignored or not taken seriously. In just a few passages we can see what the apostles REAL JOY was and why they were sharing it – even risking their lives.

1 TIM 4:9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance 10] (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe. 11] Command and teach these things.

These are some of Paul’s last words to Timothy and the world. He made his instruction very clear. Command and teach THESE things! Teach that GOD WILL SAVE ALL MEN. Paul says that God is the savior of all men, not the potential Savior. God doesn’t “TRY” to do something – GOD DOES ALL THAT HE PLEASES! And so that no one questions what “ALL” means Paul tell us, “ESPECIALLY of those who believe” even MORE SO for those who believe! God will save every soul, but for those who are called and BELIEVE now- they will be blessed from that moment on in their life!

1JN 4:13 We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14] And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15] If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16] And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

Will God fail in Jesus Christ? Will God’s unfailing love fail? He was sent to save ALL sinners and restore creation. Will He accomplish this? How capable is your God? How much does your God love us? Remember, Love conquers evil and believes ALL things.

1 TIM 2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone 2] for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3] This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4] who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5] For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6] who gave himself as a ransom for all men the testimony given in its proper time. 7] And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle I am telling the truth, I am not lying and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.

First, we are to pray for all – why? Some believe that many are “predestined” to hell anyways. The Truth is that ALL have been PREDESTINED by GOD to be saved, but given in its proper time according to God’s will. God wants all men to come to Him and be saved. Paul, suspecting that many wouldn’t BELIEVE THIS, says, “I AM telling the Truth, I AM not lying.” Again, will our Sovereign God get what He ransomed for? Will He succeed in fulfilling His desire to save all men and bring us to the knowledge of truth? Many, I suspect, have a carnal image of our Father, Almighty God. They do not see or believe that God is sovereign over the universe that He created. In their dark deception, they see a god who will lose most of his creation to the devil, sin and death- not realizing that ALL of these are God’s tools used to bring us into His Perfection. Our God is God! He does all that He desires and His love is unfailing!

ISA 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

ISA 46:10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.

MK 10:26 The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, “Who then can be saved?”

MK 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

And so it is as God desires – no exceptions. Does anyone suppose that God desires to keep billions of His children in an endless hell to suffer? Is there purpose in this? We plainly read that God desires that ALL be saved. He sent His Son for this very purpose! Will Jesus Christ fail in God’s purpose? What if Jesus Christ fails to find even ONE lost sheep? Please understand that our Father is PERFECT and so is His plan for mankind. He is bringing all through death that we may know life. He is bringing all through darkness that we know the Light. Believe and trust that God is sovereign in ALL things including our salvation. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith – the Alpha and Omega. He doesn’t change in love or purpose for those created in His image and likeness.

Well, these are just a FEW of the many passages in God’s word showing His plan of universal salvation in Jesus Christ. There are many, many more! We haven’t even touched on the fact that God is love and that love never fails. We haven’t exposed how our misconceptions of hell and death have been created in carnal minds. We haven’t looked at the faith given to the early Believers who carried the message of Universal Salvation. But I will end with these passages that if read correctly say what all the others say – God’s overpowering and unfailing love for us will save us ALL OF US! Read and believe that God is God and there is no other! His words are commands! Our God speaks- it happens! Will your God and Father fail?

PS 85:7 Show us your unfailing love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.

ISA 45:22 Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

God’s peace and understanding be with you,
