So Far we have learned that God cannot lie, the life of Adam has no meaning and it is impossible for man (Adam) to seek God. Nor can Adam please Him or even understand Him. Remember, Adam is in a state of hiding from God from which there is no escape. This is the Law Adam lives under. This is the whole condition of Adam.
JN 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7] If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
This is the most misunderstood and most widely preached and believed passage in the Bible. It is also the foundation of the lie of the Christian theology. Pretty bold I know but we must understand exactly what Jesus said. In order to grasp this truth you must believe something that God has said. Remember, God cannot lie. Adam is hopelessly lost and cannot be saved. Yes, I said cannot be saved.
Jesus did not come to the Earth to save Adam. He came to the Earth to establish the Kingdom of God, and to kill Adam. He did not come to fill the earth with regenerated Adams. He came to fill the Earth with the Glory of God which is the Son of God, the new creation. The fact of the matter is, Jesus laid down His Adamic life and was raised the new creation.
“I am the way and the truth and the life.” With this statement, Jesus Christ explained that it was He Himself that is truth. He did not have a truth… He is the Truth. He did not show us (Adam) the way… He is the Way. Jesus did not give (Adam) men His life… He is LIFE. What Jesus is telling us my brothers and sisters in Christ is this… we must be HIM. If we are not Him we do not have the Way or the Truth or the Life.
JN 3:5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6] Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7] You should not be surprised at my saying, `You must be born again.’ 8] The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
JN 3:9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
How can this be indeed! We have been taught by the Christian religion that our salvation came by a decision that was made by Adam. God cannot lie… Adam cannot choose God. Adam flees from God. When was the last time you decided to be born. Did you choose the time, or the place? How about your parents… did you choose them? And to make Adam’s weakness and failure complete… did they choose you? The arrogance of Adam is found in His religion. Adam does not choose God. God chose His Son. His one and only Son.
If you are in Christ, you are the Son God chose. You are the Son God loves above all creation. All creation bows down before you because of who you are in HIM. If you are in Christ… you are Christ. It is all about identity.
JN 3:10 “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? 11] I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12] I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13] No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven – the Son of Man. 14] Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15] that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.
JN 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18] Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19] This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20] Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21] But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”
Believing in the name of Gods one and only Son. What is the name of Gods Son?
JER 15:16 When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God Almighty.
We see by this example that the Old Testament prophets believed that their heritage (lineage) was bearing the name of God. In other words, Israel and all those who were born into Israel bore the name of God by blood birth. Christian religion would have you believe that bearing the name of Jesus is to banter His name about in prayer. How many times have we heard,
“Come out deaf and blind spirit in the name of Jesus!”
Police used to say in old movies ‘Come out in the name of the Law!’ This is how religion sees the name of Jesus.
The fact of the matter is that this is a fantastic error. God does not recognize this kind of usage. Nor does any other spiritual being. For example The Sons of Sceva found out the hard way the error of using the name of the Son of God without authority.
ACTS 19:13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14] Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15] One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” 16] Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.
The devils asked a legitimate question. “Who are you?” They were Adam invoking the name of Jesus in a ritual. But why did it not work? Religion will say that it is because they were not Christians (in the religious sense). No, they did not have the proper authority. To put it better they did not have the proper identification.
Let’s use the police officer again. If an officer comes up to you in plain clothes and say’s ‘come with me, I am officer Paul’ that’s not good enough for you to obey him. He must identify himself with his badge and identification card that all officers of the law must identify themselves with. Then, as a duly identified officer, he is worthy of obedience. Why, because His name is Paul or because of Who he is in relation to the Law. Because of who he is in relation (ship) to the law. In other words he is related to the law.
This is a weak example of the most powerful truth in all creation. Jesus Christ acting as Adam’s son did what Adam could not do. He obeyed the Father and went to the cross and died willingly to free the Sons of God from the bondage of the law of sin and death (knowledge of good and evil). That freedom is found in the person of Christ. To be identified with Christ you must take His name and Identity as your own. The way to take His identity is to take His death. We (the Sons of God) have followed Him to that cross and are crucified with Him. In His crucifixion is our freedom. In His resurrection is our identity. In His identity is the Life of God, peace, joy, godliness, holiness and eternal life.
Forsake your own identity (self) and put to death everything that is Adam. The only identity that the spiritual authorities bow to is the Son of God. If you are not the Son of God then the demons do not have to bow to you. Even if you use His name.
Sons of God do not use the name of the Lord… they bear it. It is yours by the Spirit. What do you think ‘Taking the name of the Lord in vain’ means? It means bearing the name of the Lord for nothing.
RO 8:12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation – but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13] For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14] because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15] For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16] The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17] Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Identity is everything
