“We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.” (I John 5:19-21)

The goal is to know Him that is true. In our darkness and semi-darkness we have formed images or imaginations of who God really is and we have worshipped the idol that we have made of Him.

We have cloaked Him in religious garbs and we have donned the same garments ourselves. The Holy Spirit has been patient to lead us into truth, but the wicked one (our own carnal mind) has been intense on pulling us back into our old familiar ways of worship.

Most of us have been separated from loving the things of this world, but we may still be having trouble leaving behind our old ways of worship.  This is what the Spirit of God has been tirelessly dealing with in our lives.

Because the world is totally ignorant of the realm of Spirit, it is in darkness and it is deceived. The Bible says that the whole world lies in wickedness. This means that the world follows the reasoning of the carnal mind and believes that it is good. Through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the apostle John wrote that Satan deceives the whole world; there is no exception (see Rev. 12:9). It is only when the Son of God opens our understanding to the true that we are able to know the true from the lie. The church buildings that we see on every corner are monuments to the way we worship God. We have made an idol out of a God who is Spirit.

Jesus is the true and when we yield to Him He opens our understanding to the world of spirit that is all around us and in us. Everything that is of the natural, material world is not the true. The true is only seen and known by the invisible spirit but it is more real than the visible.

In Christ we enter a world that we had not known existed; that is the world of the Spirit that is all around us and in us. The Holy Spirit, who is commissioned to lead us into all truth, is the One who leads us more and more into this new realm until we know how to worship God in Spirit and in truth.

Until we understand this and believe, we worship a God that fits our carnal understanding. We worship an outer form of God but not the true God. This is the transition that we experience when we receive Him. He transports us from this natural, visible realm of life into the true life that is found in the Spirit. So we move from truth to truth until we are able to identify the true Jesus and see Him as He is. It is when we are like Him that we see Him as He really is. This is the true… and this is eternal life… to know the One true God.

“And behold there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it was revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.” (Luke 2:25-26)

It is no coincidence that this man’s name was Simeon, which means “hearing.” This man had heard the voice of God in a very personal way and what had been revealed to him by the Spirit could never be erased from his consciousness.

This man was old now and he had been waiting in anticipation for many years but the day finally came when the “consolation” entered the temple and Simeon lovingly held the child to his bosom.

This word “consolation” means “relief” or “comfort.” Surely Israel was in need of great comfort. The prophet had not uttered a word from God for the past four hundred years and the people were oppressed and in dire need of comfort.

Simeon had been told by the Holy Spirit that a Manchild would be born and be the Savior of the people. When he saw the baby come into the temple, he had no doubt whatsoever; he knew this was the One.  Over the years, many babies had been carried into the temple, but Simeon knew right away who this baby was. He recognized Him without hesitation.

As we stand today in a most chaotic world and as governments are crumbling on the left and on the right of us, we seek for answers of peace from some trustworthy source. But the leaders that the people have called “men or women of God” have been busy building their kingdoms with material wealth, convincing the people that this is all the consolation that they need.

The leaders of God’s people who are supposed to bring light and peace to the hearts of the faithful have polluted themselves with the same greed and manipulative tactics as the leaders of this world; now the people are crying out for “consolation” and the cupboard is bare!

Is there a “Simeon” in the temple who has heard from God and who is capable of recognizing the “consolation” when he sees Him? Is there a “Man” in the temple whose heart desires to see Him and hold Him? Is there really someone who is ready and waiting to greet the Prince of Peace when He appears? Or are they all looking for a “rapture” to fly away from the carnage and bloodshed at hand? Will silver and gold be the answer to the violent frenzies that are exploding in the earth?

There have been many who have proclaimed that they knew Him and have presented what they knew to the crowds. But the one who hears from God, the Simeon Company has not recognized them. That Company will know the true and will not hold on to another.

Is there a Man in the temple who has heard from God? Is there such a “Simeon Company” here today? Actually yes! That Man is called the “Body of Christ” or the Sons of God. He has been prepared on the sidelines listening carefully to the voice of the living God within. The words that this Man hears have not been broadcasted over the airwaves of television or of the Internet, the voice who has trained this Man has been arising from within the depth of a called out people. This is a people who are not welcome by the ruling powers of the popular church; but they are the only source of peace on earth because they hold the Prince of Peace.

Beloved ones who have been rejected by those who were once your peers but chose to remain in darkness- You who have suffered the loss of all things (your own family’s respect and acceptance); take heart. Long ago you have heard that the “consolation” would come. You have hung around the true temple looking for His appearing…

There have been many brought in but you knew that they were not the One. But the day is here and He is at the door and the world will see Him whom they have spit upon and crucified and they will know that our Lord HE IS THE TRUE GOD.

They will see Him but He will not drop from the sky in a natural cloud. No, He will make His appearing in the cloud of witnesses that are in heaven and in earth. He is coming with ten thousands of His saints and all eyes will be fixed upon Him. Jesus in His saints is the Man that is the consolation of the world. He is the Man that will bring peace and solace to a world that is nigh annihilation.

This time He will not appear as a babe, He will appear in a people of light who will swallow up the lies and the darkness that this world is laying in. This Man is the Body of Christ and He has been waiting a long time, holding on to the truth that God had spoken in His ear long ago. This is who we are beloved… We are not of those who give up or who have no hope… we are the mighty Christ of God that is appearing in the world.

We are not just a people of faith; we are the end result of that faith. We are the appearing of the true. We are also the reason for the turmoil, for things cannot remain as they have been. The enemy has to be uprooted and that territory has to be cleansed. This is a work that the Holy Spirit has done in our hearts and we are marching on as He continues this work until God’s kingdom is established in the visible tangible world as it is in the invisible spiritual realm.

When God introduced Himself, He was very specific. “For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” (Exod. 34:14) Our Lord has sought us that He might bring us up out of the darkness of this materialistic world into the wonderful world of spirit that is all around us and in us.

We were once in love with the world and its treasures and pleasures, but we are finding that the world of spirit is more real and much more valuable than the world that we see and that we are in touch with through our natural senses.

When our Lord catches up with us and makes us aware of His presence, He then proceeds to test us and open the truth of who we are in Adam in contrast to who we are called to be in Christ. He has formed us and molded us and now He desires to graft us into His nature that we might become His new creation in Christ. This is the Man that will rule and reign in Heaven (the invisible world) and in Earth (the visible world).

When God put His finger on man’s heart, he draws back and instead of allowing God to bring him up to the light, man endeavored to bring his God down into his darkness. As a result, man has formed gods after his own image. These are the religions that are in the world today.

But our God is a jealous God and He has purposed to reveal all the false images and gods that men have set up to worship. The way that He has chosen to do this is through a people. This people are not called to just preach and teach the word; this people are chosen to become the true Light.

Just as it is impossible for darkness to overpower light, the counterfeit cannot prevail against the true. God has allowed the works of darkness to thrive for a time by withdrawing the light, but just as certainly as morning breaks and the new day arises, so the light of truth is going to break over the earth and all that have been the works of darkness will be revealed and destroyed.  This is the heart’s desire and the joy that is set before all those who have been called in Christ.

We have, as it were, been in hiding.  God had ordained this so when the time comes we need not strive to validate the truth. We need not try to round up people of like-mind for support, God’s truth is marching on and our hearts truly leap within at the thought of the deliverance that is about to appear in the world.

When Jesus came He was the true Light but men did not receive Him because they preferred the darkness. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” (John 3:19-21)

Jesus was talking to one of the Pharisees who came to Him by night. This man (Nicodemus) was a teacher of the Jews, but when he heard Jesus, he realized he had been worshiping God, as others, in the dark. So they rejected Jesus because they loved their positions as rulers over the people and they felt threatened by the light of truth. But Nicodemus saw something more and he just had to ask. He did not want anyone to know of his inquiry so he came to Jesus by night.

Jesus did not mince words with him. He pointed out that as a teacher, he should recognize the light of truth and expose the works of darkness, even though it comes against the established system that he belongs to.

This is pretty much what happened to us.  One day while we were worshiping among our peers in the church, we saw the Light. I remember clearly when the Lord explained to me through a dream that the works that I had been taught were of God were actually evil works; this was very painful to receive.

The reason that it was so hard to accept is because these evil works were not what we consider evil; on the contrary. The evil works that the Lord revealed to me were usually considered to be very good and even godly but they only served to lift up the carnal nature.

This is truly where we need the Light to reveal to us the works of darkness that we love. They are the works that we have attributed to being the works of God in our lives. They make us feel good and proud of being Christians, and God permitted them in our lives for a time of teaching, but when He was ready to move us on, did we hesitate or did we even decide to stay there? This does not mean that we will not do for others- on the contrary – But it is God who will lead us and not man.

In my early walk with the Lord I was blessed to have a neighbor who became a dear sister in the Lord. She belonged to one of the mainstream denomination and because she was the one who introduced me to the Lord, she took me to church with her. But the day came when the Lord called her out of her church and I followed her. She was truly the beacon that the Lord had set in my life at the time.

We then hopped from church to church but one day we were led to attend meetings with people who, like us had been seeking for more. It was there that we heard a word we had never heard before. It was amazing and it awakened the witness in our spirits. I really looked to her for advice and for spiritual direction. It was at that time that God began to speak more and more through dreams.

He gave me the understanding of the dreams and as I saw them come to pass over and over again, my confidence, in knowing that truly it was Him speaking to me, was built. This was a very personal way to teach me and guide me into what He had purposed for my life. As a child and young adult I had experienced amazing dreams that came to pass in my life, but I had never connected them to God.

One night I dreamed that I was talking to this dear friend and sister in the Lord. Because she had been instrumental in bringing me to the Lord and because she was well versed in the Bible, I esteemed her very highly. In the dream she was sitting in her chair I could only see one side of her face.

She was naturally pretty and her complexion was always nice and clear, but at one point in the dream, she turned her head and I caught a glimpse of the other side of her face. It was marred and mottled by a large ugly purple birthmark on her cheek. My immediate reaction was to look away. I did not want to see that side of her face.

Later as the dream came to pass, I realized that the Lord was saying that it would be difficult for me to accept the ugliness of the system that had brought me to Him. It was nice to be faced with the beauty that it holds, but there is a real ugly side as well which has to do with the mark of our birth in Adam; that side must be faced as well. We cannot accept the package as is. The nice side is the heart that seeks God, but the ugly side is the counterfeit that has set up a false religious image in the land. It is this false image that has caused a lot of spiritual and physical death as well.

Only the true light can reveal the false mental images that we have of God. Recently someone inquired of me concerning the book of Revelation. This sister wrote, “I just finished reading letter No. 160 and really wanted to let you know how encouraging it has been for me in a time when I really needed it.  Thank you.  I do have a question though.  The more I study, read about, and understand the book of Revelation the more it seems to be spiritual and less literal.  I wonder if any of it can be taken literally.  I think that it is both, but I am wondering if that is true.  So many things that I have been taught to believe are withering away.  I question everything.”

Indeed, so many images have been formed in our minds because men have taken a word that could only be understood by the Spirit, and interpreted it according to the understanding of their carnal minds. So when the Spirit begins to tear down false images, some may have a problem coping with what is happening.

It is the true likeness and image of God that reveals the false. When Jesus stood next to the established Jewish religion of the land, their hearts were made bare and they could not stand it; they crucified Him. Later His followers suffered humiliation, persecution and even death at the hands of those who felt threatened by the truth.  This is still going on today.

The system will kill anyone that stands in the truth, yet God has ordained a day when He will send life back into His witnesses and they will go forth in the true image of God and destroy the false. Jesus explained by way of a parable, “A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a place for the wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to the vinedressers and went into a far country.” (Mark 12:1)

Jesus was saying, “This is what I did. I planted the seed that would bring forth the vine of God’s life in the earth. I set it all in order so that it would grow and I built a safety tower to guard it. That tower is not as Babel which represents man’s confusing ways of reaching God. That tower represents the true anointing that opens our ears and our understanding to the voice of God. That anointing comes through the Holy Spirit and speaks to us the things that we need to hear from Him.

Then Jesus explains, “I went into a far country and I was no longer visible to the natural eye. One could only reach Me through the Holy Spirit. At first you found me in the literal written Word. Then you found me in the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit and that was new life.

The purpose of it all was to lead you and teach you to hear My voice… for I am alive forevermore. I am not as other gods who can only communicate through doctrines of men; I am alive and speak to you through the Spirit. I make you to hear My voice and understand My ways.

Because I speak directly to your understanding, I desire that you obey and follow. I am not speaking as it were to nations, or to groups; I am speaking to each individual personally. As you follow, you will know Me and recognize Me and you will not need that man teach you; you will know My ways.

In times past, we were sent to the vinedressers who reject the true servants of God. We may not have realized this because we thought we were part of them. But when the Lord began to speak to our hearts and we told them what we heard; they rejected us. However, when they rejected us, they rejected Him.

“They took him and killed him and cast him out of the vineyard. Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vinedressers, and give the vineyard to others. Have you not read this Scripture: The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone? This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?” (Mark 8-11)

Jesus will repossess His vineyard and those who have rejected Him will lose their place in His kingdom. They have been acclaimed and recognized as the leaders of God’s people. They have held a place of prestige and power among the masses. They have been in charge. But when the true came among them, they quickly threw Him out because He was a great threat to them; He was about to reveal their works of darkness and dethrone them.

Paul admonished the church, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” (Rom. 13:14) Beloved, this is what has happened to all of us, when we put on the Lord Jesus Christ, we were violently rejected by the establishment because we became the light that could uncover their darkness.

When we put on the Lord Jesus Christ we become a threat to the works of darkness. When we put Him on, we are as He is in the midst of them and we find ourselves rejected as He was, and this too is the will of God.

Jesus addressed the Pharisees of His day as “Serpents, brood (generation) of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? Therefore indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.” (Matt. 23:33-35) Just as the blood of the Old Testament prophets is required at the hand of the Jewish nation, so the blood of the saints in Christ is required of the Babylonish Christendom of our day.

Jesus never spoke carelessly; He chose the right words with purpose. When He called the Pharisees of His day, “Brood of Vipers,” He was not just calling them names at random because He was angry or disgusted with them; He was speaking truth. He was actually describing their origin.

The word for brood or generation here means the produce or fruit of. They were truly issued from the seed of the serpent. A viper is not just any harmless serpent; it is one that can inflict death by its venom.

When the Lord showed me that “Old serpent, the devil” in a dream, I saw this enormous rattlesnake shaking his huge rattlers, ready to kill. When that “rattle snake,” in the dream, bit the ones who were called to hold up the truth; it paralyzed and killed them. Jesus told the Pharisees that they were the generation or children that came from that deadly serpent; He was pointing to their religious system. The religious system of our day is the product of that same venomous and malicious serpent who nailed our Lord to the cross and who is crucifying each one who holds up the truth today. Make no mistake about that; it is that system that must be flushed out of our hearts.

That Old serpent the devil is not interested in the dying world; that world is already in his clutches. That Old serpent is interested in those who have turned to Christ but can still be enticed and drawn away by the strong desires of their hearts. This is why it is so vital for anyone who comes to the Lord to begin a time of discipline by the Spirit. The serpent spirit is that same subtle one who deceived Eve and is still at work deceiving the church.

It is that spirit that is making the people believe that their outer works of righteousness are from God and when they do them, they feel like they are God. Many today flaunt their outer religion and material gains as a blessings. But be not deceived. God provides generously for the needs of his people but it is spiritual wealth that is the real blessing. That is the wealth that will never be taken away from us. “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven (spiritual treasures) where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matt. 6:20-21)

At times, the Lord has sent some of His own into the various religious institutions that function in the name of the Lord. He has also raised up some from their own midst with a pure message from His heart. They have all been rejected. Many have stood valiantly and proclaimed the truth that they heard but it was not long until they lost their good reputations among the brethren. These have been slain by the establishment.

All who stand in the truth must be killed by the established religions of this world; this is all part of God’s plan. God has ordained these things just as He ordained the crucifixion of Jesus; they are all slain for the truth. We read of those who asked the resurrected Lord, crying with a loud voice, “… How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth? And a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.” (Rev. 6:10-11) the cup of His suffering has to be filled full!

Those who have been rejected and killed must not fall into the old familiar trap of re-establishing the same order as many have done. They must “lay dead in the street.” That means that they must have nothing to do with any of these.

The stronghold of the devil is not among the drunks in bars or the prostitutes in the streets, as bad as that may be. The stronghold of the devil is the “woman” the “harlot church” who proudly displays her power and stands accusing the world of sin when she is the chief prostitute and murderer of all.

She has taken the beauty of God’s holiness and has created an outer god of materialism and worldly power. In so doing she has robbed the people of the true God, and she has killed the servants of God that rose up to make known the truth. But we have just about filled up the cup of this suffering, and our God is standing at the ready to avenge all.

You see beloved it is obvious that the world and all its tyrants are wild beasts that are stanched on destroying humanity and the planet itself. But God had ordained a “church,” a “called out people” who will move in His power, to keep these beasts under His authority.

It is when the sons of God come into resurrection power that death will be overcome and that all of God’s creation will return to His order. This is our mission and the high calling that we are pressing in to answer.

This was the mission given to the “church” that has become so popular in the world today.  But the reason that church is so popular is because she is deceived and has taken on the nature of the serpent instead of Christ. She has made herself to be God in the world and although she appears godly to those in darkness, she is part of the generation of vipers that Jesus was referring to.

It is certain that we support what we love. If we love the rituals of this world’s system, our hearts will motivate us to support that. It is the heart that motivates us, and it is where our treasure is that we find our heart. If we have developed an appetite for the thrills of this world, this is where our hearts are found.

But if we have cultivated a hunger for God’s true righteousness and for His word, we will meditate upon these things and we will order our lives in that way. If we truly love the things of the Spirit, our hearts will be found seeking to know God’s ways.

Television has become what in olden times was called the “market place.”  In those times people gathered in parks or on the city’s square and men would get up on their literal “soap boxes” to expound their philosophy of life or of whatever they may have found interesting. People would gather around and listen for hours. Now we no longer go to a park, we can turn on our televisions or get on line and find a guru who is more than willing to talk about his findings. There is one, rather popular at this time, who is teaching about “the power of intentions.” Many are fascinated by his comments.

It is true that all powers come from God and the enemies of our souls always find the way to tap into God’s powers to accomplish their evil intents, but it is only when God permits that they are able to do that. Case in point is the story of Job as the devil presented himself before God and received permission to hurt Job. He could not have hurt him in any way if God had not granted him that power.

So the “power of intentions” is nothing more than the power that is found in the desires of our hearts.  David knew this and wrote, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Psa. 37:4) Of course for those who delight themselves in the Lord, the desires of their hearts will be toward the things of His Spirit. They will follow the teachings of Jesus and not of any other. God is a jealous God. With this in mind we can understand that anyone whose heart is not hungry for true justice and righteousness will not press toward attaining to that. Of course we often desire justice and righteousness for others and we disregard the truth that it must all begin with us.

On our own we would never seek the kingdom of God. We are born with a mind that is foreign to the things of Spirit and our understanding is strictly limited to material things and things that pertain to this natural life. So when God is ready to work in our lives toward bringing us into His kingdom, He has to create in us the desire to turn to spiritual things.

That also is a gift of God and He accomplishes that by creating “lacks” in our lives. Somehow we begin to feel “voids” within us and we do not really know where to turn to fill them. This is what happens to some who turn to alcohol or drugs in trying to find something to fill the “void” in their lives. Actually what we lack is the spiritual side of who we were created to be, so when our hearts call upon the Lord, Jesus answers and begins to move our lives in the right direction.

Quoting a verse in Psalms, the writer of Hebrews asked the question, “What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care of him? You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of Your hands. You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” (Heb. 2:6b-8a)

Man has been created to rule over the creation of God, but for a time, man has been set lower than the angels. We see the final work of God in man and in His creation when we see Jesus. The inspired writer continues, “For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the sufferings of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.” (Heb. 2:8b-9)

This is truly an eye opener. Man was created to place all things in subjection under him and rule over them. That includes all enemies as well, even germs and viruses and all things that attack us and make us sick. But in Adam, man was lowered into a realm of suffering and death. Yet God also uses this for His purpose.

So the question is “What is man that you care so much about him God? And the answer is, “Man belongs in a higher place but had to be lowered to the place of a carnal (animal) life in order to bring him up to the image of the Son of God.” This man was once with Christ in God as a spiritual being, but now this man has been sent in the earthly realm to purchase a soul and body and become the image who will express the Spirit in a visible. In other words, man is called to express the One who is a Spirit in a way that the entire creation might see Him and know Him. This is the mission of man in this world.

The only way that man could make that purchase is in Christ Jesus. He is the only One who could pay the price for the purchase on the cross.  Now “We do not yet see all things put under him (man) but we see Jesus who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor that He by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.” (Heb. 2:8b-9)  The way is now opened for man to follow through the same death and the same resurrection in order to possess the same body of glory and show forth the glory of the Father!!! What a glorious calling this is!

Will all men find the way out of their darkness into the kingdom of God? Will all men become that image in Christ? Or is it possible that some will just be here to admire that glory but will not become that glory in the earth?  There is a verse in the Bible that declares that when the Lord takes over the rule of His kingdom, “Saviors shall come to Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.” (Obed. 21)

In Christ, all who are called to show forth the glory of God in the earth are Saviors to the humanity that is groping in darkness.  Humanity finds itself in a dark place, not understanding what is happening, not realizing that the wisdom that guides them is absolute foolishness. Humanity without the light of God has no way out of that darkness. It has no way of finding the light that will lead them out. The only light is Jesus Christ in them but they turn away from Him. Some still hang on to the words of the prophets or of the law of Moses, but that is like holding a burned down candle in the thick darkness; there is not much light to show the way.

The only Way is the Lord Jesus whose blood cleanses us from all sin and who opens the eyes of our inner man to reveal the truth and to lead man out of darkness and into His marvelous light. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” (I Pet. 2:9-10)

To Him be all the praise, honor, and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Because of His love,
