JANUARY 5, 2007

“The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. The wicked borrows, and pays not again: but the righteous shows mercy, and giveth. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; and his seed is blessed.” (Psalm 37:18-26)

The world is given a time span of one week between Christmas and New Year’s Day where many of us are finishing up with the old to prepare for the coming year. Christmas is a time that many have prepared months ahead to celebrate and reflect on the birth of God in the flesh. Afterwards, we are given an opportunity to refresh and or reflect before the New Year’s Day arrives of what the year has presented and what kind of resolutions we will attempt to accomplish in the New Year. As the clock strikes the mid-night hour on New Year’s Eve, all around the world there is a moment of eternity that does not belong to either the past or the future. It is a moment of NOW. How we accept that moment is what will determine our tomorrow.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; where we each were at doing this last week of the year was ordered by God. What took place on a global scale was a trumpet call for those that have ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying. It was not coincidence that three deaths occurred in the same week that would affect all mankind. The church experienced death to the “king of soul” or ignorance; death to the “king of bondage” or control; and death to the “king of complacency/false peace” or duality. It is this last “king” that has been the most difficult because of the compromising of the church allowing legalism to mix with God’s mercy and grace. How often do we hear from the mouth of Christians that they are still a “sinner saved by grace,” o r that they can never be good enough to God until they enter into heaven either by dieing or when Jesus returns?

The year of 2007 is an opportunity for the sons of God to rise up and BE the manifestation of Christ by the renewing of their minds. Yes, many of us will conform to another broken resolution; or another unobtainable promise that is attempted by works and religion. But for those that are hearing the sound of the trumpet call I challenge you to walk in the renewed-ness of your true identity as a Christ-one with the mind of Jesus Christ. The call Upon the church is no longer: “woe, woe, woe” but “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY.” The whole earth is filled with HIS GLORY. Judge no one, or you will be judged according to the measure that you have judged (Matt. 7:1-2). Your words have the ability to produce LIFE or death (Proverbs 18:21). As a son of God you have the responsibility to only produce LIFE according to HIS faith (Mark 11:22). You can not do it alone or out of your own ability. We must see mankind the way Jesus sees all mankind today as He sits with His FATHER and your FATHER on the mercy seat of unconditional LOVE (Luke 23:34).

Let us begin 2007 with the renewing of our mind that we would not frustrate the grace of God, but manifest our knowing that today “the life which I NOW live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God. (Gal. 2: 20-21) so that when others see us, they see their Heavenly Father that gave His life for them. “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. (John 17:21)
