THE WORD IN MANIFESTATION

BY:  LLOYD ELLEFSON - AUGUST 8, 2004

Jesus declares himself to be the resurrection prior to the cross. This means we must see this in a new light.  It is by no means an historical event. The Christ being the same yesterday, today and forever, is the assurance of His eternal being… His true being as the Word of God in manifestation. The resurrection being spiritual, has nothing to do with the flesh body. The man Jesus came as a mediator of spirit and its truth. His advent, the cross and His reappearance, is limited to representation of that not seen by man. It veiled his true being as Son of God. It is man's vanity, flesh and separation He partook of - not to change the corrupt entity of the human. Instead It was to bring death to the false realm of consciousness that dwelt in man’s soul. He came as a seed to birth out of Himself the same relationship in God he had - the Son of His love. The old man is put away and that born of his word is a new creature into a new creation.

What does this resurrection have to do with this body of flesh? It becomes a tabernacle of this new consciousness. It's destiny is still to return to the earth from which it is taken.  All Christ did in His pilgrimage into earth was to demonstrate the germination of the seed of God's promise. What He demonstrated from the Jordan to the cross was the way for man. This remained unfulfilled until after the Father released this to any one who would receive His spirit. He is the quickening spirit, and the life. This, when received, is far greater than forgiveness. Forgiveness comes first to the one who is guilty. This frees one from guilt that they might feel release to embrace the spirit. Why do so many live in forgiveness that dwells only in the flesh mind? The Jews had this, and it only leads to repetition and not the new creature. They readily admit to being sinners, with no hope of release in this life. They are content with the delusion that heaven is the hope, not the Christ. The gift of God is His son, not heaven. The lack of hearing the spirit is the result of this bondage. It is only in the life of the son that one can have the faith to live in the assurance life. If you have life in Him, why is heaven needed? No human can have this faith, nor can he hear the spirit in which it comes.

Peter confessed Christ to be the Son of God. (Matt:16-16)  When Jesus was arrested, Peter was questioned about his association, he denied it. Another claimed he was with Jesus. He rejected that with an oath. Others said he had an accent that proved it. Peter then cursing said: “I do not know the man.”  This was before the release of the Spirit. This should serve as a testimony. If you do not hear the spirit, you will never get to the place of being crucified together with Him.

A true believer is one with the son in death, burial, resurrection, the cross and God as Father. No longer flesh, Adam, sinners, mortal, the man of sin, enemies of God or Satan’s children. How sad for the unrepentant, that do not receive God's offer of His Son. What a joy unspeakable to those made alive in the Son. Some who live as sinners in forgiveness are zealous to share their hope. Some never quit talking about themselves. I used to count the “I” 's in their writings. This should fade away. Paul says - I preach Christ. We are called to be a witness, but not of self. Jesus said - you will be my witness. In His stead - not of one’s trials, accomplishments, or self. God is our savior; no one saved himself.

The carnal mind is not the enemy. The carnal mind is not satan. Jesus cast out demons and healed with a word. What left the person was the work of Satan on man. They still retained the minding of the flesh - in ignorance. The word carnal means flesh. When one’s soul is delivered from minding the flesh, it is because the spirit of Christ overcomes the work of other spirits. The physical body then becomes the tabernacle of witness with Christ as the Lord.(2 Cor:3-18 also Ch.6:16-17) The last enemy to overcome is death. Christ has overcome death and we have that spirit. Have we overcome satan and death? Is this too much? You have died and your life is hid with Christ in God. Then where are we? We can believe this with the Holy Spirit who is truth and tells us this. Unbelief is now the sin unto death. Which is a result of retaining the mind of the flesh. The earthy man that expects things to happen is this temporal realm. Rest is the place of unfoldment. Work, prayer or hope should be directed for the self to hear and believe reality remains in the spirit realm. The word is the seed. The entire body of Christ is in the seed made Son.
